While investigating unpredictable glowing faces and glowing terrain as well as a glowing-backdrop, I unexpectedly came across a gold mode wire frame view.

Since this is the second time in as many days that I've seen this, I wondered if anybody else has come across something like this. Typically, gold mode's ctrl+b will show solid boxes. Check that. I just looked at the gold mode page and it says it cycles through wire frame, solid boxes, and off. But I've never seen this before and can't deliberately get it to appear. That said, since it's supposed to be normal behavior, I think I'll stop talking to myself now, lol.
edit. Got it. The wire frame doesn't always work in full screen hardware mode. As soon as I switched to software, viola: pretty wire frame boxes.

One day I'll be normal . . .
It's documented in winterkill's famous gold mode doc.
I have found u can only see it in software mode.
it toggles thru 3 settings, none, wire, and solid.
