Feedback on new menu
Feedback on new menu
I've been thinking to change the menu on the mtmg to a system where all pages are available from the menu all the time. I found a javascript thingie that should do the trick but now that I have it 2/3 configured I'm not sure it's very practical (for much the same reason the track page was not ideal in it's javascript manifestation - too large). Anyway, if you have a second, please give it a try and let me know what you think. The only links that work are the mtmg and models.

I only see a black screen... I guess it 'does' make navigating much "easier and faster" - though not as much fun. IE reports an error on page:
Line: 45
Char: 2
Error: Object required
Code: 0

Please use the brake provided and not the vehicle in front of you.

Ok, that works a little bit better now
Whether I like it better than the current arrangement I can't really say, it would take a bit of getting used to. It does seem much nicer though

I'm not completely sold on it yet. Kinda grates with the header graphic. But for the front page I suppose it isn't so bad.

nice but it needs to be bit more browser friendly :o)
Dynamic Drive has some of the best ones I've seen. My example is the hvmenu.
http://dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/
My biggest complaint is the load time. Remember the javascript track page? Took 2 seconds to download and thirty for the browser to process. I'm finding the same thing with this new one. On top of that, it doesn't send a 'complete' message to the browser every time so it looks like something is wrong (in the status line) when it's not.
I know there's room for improvement. But I want the next change I make to last a while. There's just way too much to be constantly updating.

All ideas are good. Well, most anyway, lol. Can't be creative, or come up with new things if we quit before we begin.

I like how tiny it is <font face=Wingdings>J</font> but I wonder how practical it would be... and it still has the load lag.
