Don't you think . . .

Post by Phineus »

While I figure out how to respond to rep fan and drive2survive's pleas for non-scratch-built trucks I thought I'd pose this question for a bit of profound meditation: Don't you think . . . that jeff beck could win a nigel tufnel look-a-like contest?

By the way, if you don't get it, this was mostly for Mal's desktop anyway.

<Who's Jeff Beck?>

He's the MAN! One of the most famous and talented rockers of the 70's and beyond.

Hey, BECK! Change yer name......JEFF already made that one famous ;-)

I recommend:

Blue Wind
Blow by Blow (album title too)
Freeway Jam (with Jan Hammer live)

Nigel Tufnel is of course one of the world's most legendary guitarists. Even Joe Satriani shied away from joining Nigel's band after trying out with them for a session. It was because Nigel's guitar was "too loud" said Joe, who spent most of the session holding his hands over his ears (which impeded his playing somewhat).
Nigel explained that it was because his amp is set to "infinity", citing the fact that most guitar amps only have volume levels of 1 to ten.
Nigel illustrates his appreciation of the guitar's musical capabilities with this quote - "The guitar is actually an opera singer with a long neck."

The Band? Possibly the greatest rock band of all time, Spinal Tap.
