AZTEC Madness by Finne

Post by Finne »

Hi again

Here's one with 49 crosses in a big Aztec-temple ... look out, hmm.
It's fast ... (what a surprise) - you know where you can put the slow ones.
My fastest lap : 7:54.06

the map will remind you of a big pile of spaghetti but it's not one of those tracks that you get lost on on every other turn, the corners are well marked and i did'nt miss a single one Image,,,
be prepared for a fast but looonng (8 minute?) circut with a lot of long straight aways and just enough corners and jumps to keep you awake Image... the comp trucks do well and give you a good race offline, and with so many criss crosses it should prove to be a good/interesting online race too, but be warned there are a high number (2048) of ground boxes used here and it will bog down slower machines or cause the "have mark increase box count" error when running with more than 4 comp trucks.

edit: added the box count error notation.

WOW!... that's a loooong track Finne. Really well put together. The comp trucks give you serious competition (a good thing in my book).
The only "improvement" I could think of would be a few more bumps (as opposed to humps) but hey, that's just my own preferences - "you can please all of the people most of the time and most of the people all of the time". Image
edit... or is it "all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time"... or " some of the people most of the......" aw *stuff*, ferget it! Image

A good, solid, competent track that will surely find it's way into some tourney comps.
You're getting better with each track Finne, keep up the good work.

I could not get this track to run with 7 computer trucks.

Got error:
HAVE MARK INCREASE BOX COUNT SIMOBJ.C 5576

But track did work fine when I turned off the computer trucks.

Just thought I pass this on...

That message is the long time oddity of mtm2. It means there is probably a high number of computer trucks running near a high number of ground boxes. The solution is to decrease the number of off-line opponents. Reducing visibility might help.
