Help! I think i've killed it!

Post by SIGage »

I was trying out the lighting effects on a course and it came out all dark with bright objects. I set all of the lighting stuff back to the default and it still looks all dark. Help.

New Screenshots and Track
Just imagine that with big black patches on the floor and very bright objects.
Aagh! This isn't anythin 2 do with it but my paperclip dispensor just moved a couple of inches infront of my eyes.

Sorry about the bad pun there Sig, I have a bad habit of cracking myself up from time to time Image

it is odd that Traxx will not correct the lighting for you... you may need to open up the .sit file and find the lines that control this, then open another new tracks .sit that has the lighting you want then just copy those lines to your troubled tracks .sit file .

here are a couple links that cover editing the .sit

I hope this .sit load of info helps ya...

No worries. I prefer being fired from a toaster to driving mundanely past a test tube.
And seeing as I'm feeling happy with myself, I'll share this beauly with you all...

Phin's in charge of that page... I just checked the FTP, and it looks like there aren't any zips there. Maybe if we ask real nice, Phin will upload them Image.

i had a problem like this a while ago

i used the clone tracked track and selected the SIT file, it seemed to reset all the lighting values and stuff

if you haven't fixed it yet, try doing that
