Post by XtremeRTM »

It looks great so far. If you need any help, just hit me with a e-mail asking cause i'm open for a few. I'm currently working on something for MTM2 but i can possibly start on it next. Here's a link to what i'm working on. Look at the last post i've made to see it with the lower level finished. http://vales.com/mtm2/topic.asp?TOPIC_I ... 9&ARCHIVE=

I like how the truck slides like that... very realistic. Although it is gonna need a dirt/smoke effect when it does that :D

Nice work so far, great lookin tires too.

Well, you can't yet, because not enough is done for me to release a beta. But it will happen soon.

PS: I have a feeling that there's a distinct possibility, in less than a week now, that I will vanish mysteriously for a while, with the release of Future Pinball. Be prepared please.

Mat has put me in charge of what trucks go in the game, so I'll be posting a partially finished list in the next few days, BTW, any updates on the game Mat?

Greenday, the last list that I saw was rather questionable as it left out a bunch of trucks that should be in the game, and had a bunch that could probably wait. I do hope that you took that into account.

Mr.D, that list wasn't even a quarter the size of the complete one [:P]

really appreciated. This list is pretty much complete, but if you have a suggestion, let's hear it! Now, the reason I only made the list replicas is so people can make their own custom trucks and add their creativity to the game.

Ok, i see what you mean by replicas but i think we should really come up with custom trucks over replicas. Most of them trucks listed are trademarked and we(the people that help) can and would more then likely get fined about useing their names in a game without permission from them and all the company sponsers. Like i said, we should come up with customs over replicas. If we did use anything that was a replica, maybe the frames but not real names.

Like Mike said, if this is going to work out, you would probaly have to do a bunch of customs. If the game was modable, i'm sure a bunch of the mtm2 guys could slap some stuff together Rep Wise.

it's not worth getting sued over, yanno? Have a contest for paint jobs and have a big vote to see which should make it in.

I don't see the problem in making replica trucks for this. As Mat has said many a time, the game is going to be freeware and so nobody is profiting from the use of the names or logos or anything else coming from a replica truck. So I don't see why anyone would be any more likely to be fined for making replica trucks for THIS freeware game then they would be for making freeware replicas for MTM2.

BTW, Matt, I can also help out with track making.

Oh well, I guess I could re-appear long enough to tell you guys...

-I added you all to the beta list.
-Hot Shoe, you can certainly help with track making if you so desire.
-If any of you can't see or watch what I post, e-mail me at hpotter@up.net and I'll send it to you directly.
-Project Monster is currently on the back burner due to the release of the very realistic game Future Pinball. You might want to take a look at it, because it does in fact involve "truck repainting" (retexturing and painting new textures), modeling, and a few other somewhat familiar things.
-Great list, Greenday.

Mike, like Mr.D said, don't think the replicas will be an issue, since it's freeware. If it does end up being an issue, I'm sure Mat will just be able to remove them and replace them with customs.
