You could probably do something cool with crushable bins, but once "crushed" (or in this case, once the seat is reclined), it can't be returned to the upright position, just as the cars aren't uncrushed....correct? No worries...
The idea of the first truck hitting the chair and knocking it into the reclined (tilted back) position sounds like a great idea...the chair doesn't need to go back upright anyway.....as MAL said, the invisible ramp set within the back of the chair (that the trucks will ride upon) will already be set at a slope equal to the angle of the back of the chair in it's reclined position....perfect!
Let us know how your progress goes on the chair models....I'm sure Zoon would use it.
Where's the link on the transparent texture info please? I saw it once...I'd like to read up on that...
....in the meantiime, ....are you making the "glassware" Zoon requested, Malibu?

I made a champagne glass and a tumbler to show Zoon some transparencies... then I got side tracked and made a lexan body out of LordCaps bigfoot and set it on your pistonhead chassis, wondered why truck makers never did this before... maybe they have and I just missed it :o)

ZOtm_BigDOGGe :
CEILING FAN :
Phin's method won't work on the ceiling fan model...
Since (1) the resizing of this kind of object is harder than over one and (2) I prefere to let the creator finalize important changes like this ... I would like to ask you, BD, if you can resize the ceiling to a particular size please ? Is it ok ?
I have checked the ceilinfan1.bin resized to 200 (width) instead of 60, it's perfect in ZK2, IMHO.
ZOtm_BigDOGGe :
BOX FAN :
...I used 3 collision boxes for the proper contact effect
Right, me too on the first try [;)] The bottom ( to prevent passing throught the bottom box) and the edges sides (where there isn't holes ..)
Great work on this model too, guys
ZOtm_BigDOGGe :
If you think the box fan has too many vertices .../...
Nope, I don't think so, really. I'm using "an old" AMD 800Mhz GeForce 2 with FSAA on MTM2, and haven't discovered any lag problem with this model. I will let you know if there's problem [uhoh]
Sometime I saw "access violation" in the Alpha of ZK2 but each of them weren't in the same place, and there were no opponent .... strange, I will test this in the future too.
ZOtm_BigDOGGe :
P.S>......I wonder if we should stop revealing these models in public, until the tracks are released....? are we spoiling a suprise?
You're right.
I prefere to put some screenshots, sometime ... but if all customs models can be downloaded in this forum, there will not have anything to discover on the final track
legwon :
Thanx for your idea and your work on the animated GIF, this animation wasn't made for nothing [;)]
ZOtm_BigDOGGe :
Let us know how your progress goes on the chair models....I'm sure Zoon would use it.
Exactly. And if there's something wrong on an model, we can work together to fix or improve it, anyway [;)]
Malibu :
I made a champagne glass and a tumbler to show Zoon some transparencies...
Great great great
but hmmm.... did you sent them by e-mail ? Did you put a link in this forum ? Oops, I haven't them yet.
About the Alpha3 of ZK2 :
I'm working hard to fix a problem with multiple ramps area... It look like if you add ramps (on several altitudes), for example when they are crossing on a small area, the truck is doing strange things when racing on some of them.
I have set the sink to no collide model (to let the racers going in) and add 4 ramps on edge (to let the racers going out !)
This part got lot of trouble (the truck is flying backward, going mad and doing fast bankroll in air instead of just moving, etc.) and need time to spend and see what's wrong and why ...
If I don't find any solution, the sink will just be a collide model, like ZK1... ( who means the trucks are flying over it, instead of falling inside ... hmmm
)
I hope to find [;)]
New screen shot as soon as possible.
See you all

no problem on the resize of the fan to 200 feet....I'll have it ready later today (I'm on a friend's computer at this time).
SInce Zoon is a non-judged entry, can he be granted access to the conference room for further model discussion?...he'll probably be a judge anyway. This way we won't prematurely expose so much detail on the new track models.

AH...I understand. Okey-dokey.
-----------------------------------
Here's the resized 200-foot ceiling fan for ZOON, sized to fit the largest living rooms of the rich and famous...heh heh..... Just BINs and texture files in this zip file.

Malibu350 :
hmmm, I've emailed a few other things to you as well... maybe I've been using an old address...
Phineus :
Speaking of e-mails, Zoon, I sent an e-mail using the forum's email contact. :
Oops .....
My Forum's e-mail is the good one : zoon@ifrance.com , but this POP account is a free service, and I discovered, sometime, missing messages from this free e-mail society ....
I'm also using an anti-spam software, but I always can see all submitted e-mails before deleted them ...
So, I don't know what's wrong about the missing messages ...
It look like the free account isn't perfect ...
Could you guys, please, send again the last e-mails ? Thanx a lot

But the requested URL don't seems to work :

Is it normal ?
> Since Zoon is a non-judged entry
Really ? Why not ? [uhoh]
Hmmm .... anyway ... the more important stuff about ZK2 is about having fun to create and play it with gamers ...
See you

Soory for the bad link......it's what happens when I do uploads in the middle of the night....oops!
The fan link should work now.....
I think you being a non-judged entry was mentioned when you discussed entering a track late due to a late start on creating it. I guess that status has changed now that the expo closing date is being extended.

Right, thanx BD
I've downloaded and displaced it on ZK2, it's perfect !
Thanx again for your great work.
I will have to find the best way to use it ... maybe with a big ceiling model ... because right now it is flying in the air, ZK2 hasn't a solid ceiling yet [;)]
Phineus :
I took your lead and just resent in mail and pm.
and Malibu350 :
maybe your email filter thinks I'm spam lol...
lol, possible yep [;)]
Merci pour le 2e envoi !
Thanks for the second send !
Tout est ok
( easy enough, right ? ... No ? "all is fine" [;)] )
ObeOne sent me a LWO 3D object, a sofa, it need to be textured, for ZK2 ... (I haven't seen it yet)
It look like it is about LightWave (the great and old modeler from Newtek)
Is there any converter to get a compatible BIN from this LWO ?
See you

3D Exploration 1.5 will open LIGHTWAVE models, and then allow one to save them in OBJ format (compatible with Binedit).....if you'd like, send me the sofa model, and I'll convert it (I could map it to a texture as well, ....either a texture of your choice, or I can seek one....)
I also sent you several glassware models in your EMAIL that you might be able to use....four models in all.

Here are some little news, from e-mail :
- ZOtm_BigDOGGe has done great transparent glasses and cups. The Ceiling fan match and work perfectly.
- Malibu350 has done great ( and very ;^) transparent glasses with 2 style and several colors + a really good lamp model with an old style ( my girl friend really like it ;^)
- ObeOne has sent a LWO file format Sofa and ZOtm_BigDOGGe will try to convert and texture it
- I will add some screenshots here, including the new models, ASAP ( I'm at my job place again ... )
- I've joined the judges team ... who also means I can't participate to the contest ... I will release ZK2 for the MTMG Expo 2003, but it look like this participation will just be an unclassified "extra" ... [;)]

I can't wait to see the screen shots.....
Don't forget Replica_Fan's box-fan....I hope that will appear on the floor of a room somewhere....
Zoon, I sent a reply to your request for my email address 2 days ago, but I never received a reply , nor the sofa model, .....so I'll post my email address here.
ZOtm_BigDOGGe@yahoo.com
Phineus, there's no current way to learn a member's email address in this forum's profile pages, only a way of sending them a message sans attachments....
......is there any way that member profiles can be set to display actual email addresses of said members? (like at Vales),........ or is this current arrangement an intentional one for privacy or forum-limitations reasons.

I'm not sure "important" would be the proper definition...
However, ZOON asked me for my email, stating that he could not find it at MTMG, and I just experienced the same problem locating KDAWG's email address so I may send him a track-model.
I guess "convenient" would be more appropriate......there are longer routes to obtaining member's addresses.....
