You have to register those DLL's

the command is
regsvr32 "\FileName.dll"

I don't think you need to regasim DLL's for simple runtime....

Wow... regsvr32 had a runtime error trying to register the dll. I put the full path of the file (in the MFR directory), in quotes, and got the error ("application tried to load the C++ something-something incorrectly"); trying to register the dll from Windows\System32 gives the error "Could not register - the specified module could not be found."

that DLL my have dependancies :), but it sounds like your missing something important, I dont know what language this was programmed in, .Net, java, w/e, but your missing something crucial. Be funny if it was the VB Runtime files, considering they come with IE 5.0 and later.

Well for fun of it, VB runtime files lol

Compiled

Post by Jpez1432 »

I compiled it differently so that it links static. It should run on all machines now. You can get it at http://mfr.natas8.com

you were using latebound references before? cause those would still be preferable.

alright finally had a chance to give this a try.

Pretty cool, took a few tries to get going, but I think i had my view messed up.

Anyways, decent frame rate and everything else

The bad however... well... I have never, in my 16 years of computers, ever had my system lock up the way it did running this game, it could have been a freak coincidence, but, it was running great than suddenly it was like soemone shut my CPU off, mouse stopped, everything just stopped dead. Had to use the reset button. Ive never had a computer do that before, usually SOMETHING still responds, the worst Ive seen before this was total lockup like this, but the keyboard still responded (Caps lock, num lock, etc. still turned on and off). This lock up even stopped that!

Other thing was, it was like driving a truck in reverse, the back was actually turning faster than the front.
Also the back end of the truck could pass through models apperently.

Other than that it was pretty cool, definitly good progress :)

I CAN'T BELIEVED THAT! (sorry, but I needed scream it).

A open project of MTM2. In OpenGL, right? It's amazing!

I putted the Crazy '98's pod file and the trucks, and the Crazy '98's theme too (in foobar2000); and I was jumping front off my monitor, playing in a wonderful resolution of 1280x1024 and was great.

The handling is similar than Monster Truck Madness 64 for N64. It's just my point of view.

:D Thanks buddy!

MFR is a monster truck game that is being written in C++ and will be released as open source once it becomes stable.

I don't want to distort.

Hey, hi Malibu350! It's good to see you again.

Try with this app. It's good and very simple to make translations.

Tried it, and when it works, this will replace MTM2. Definately needs someone to play around with the physics a bit, but it is a great game, and drag racing has never been so much fun. I can finally do slap-wheelies!!!!

However, very few trucks work with it (Almost always get the "76" error when using any addon truck). And Beta 1d, which people are saying plays any truck and track, is no longer up for download...

Very promising. If we worked out a multiplayer system, this would be amazing!

Anyone got a link for 1d?

Thanks...
