Btw, i have tried other glide wrapper called "dgVoodoo", but everything looks blured and there is not a really graphical improvement
on dgVoodoo

on zeckensack's

but it runs very smooth, same fps as 640x480 and you can pick the resolution you want, from 320x200 to 1440x900

Yeah, i think i figured it out now. Because ALL it does is switch from 640x480 to 1280x960, and it has no other resolution to switch to. My monitor appears like it cannot display 1280x960, but can display other (higher) resolutions. That's why i'm not able to play it in the higher resolution, because my monitor currently cannot display it. That is the problem that anyone else is having, especially the widescreeners, because most widescreen monitors CANNOT do is 1280x960. Now, if you decide to display modes that your monitor deems unsafe, but CAN display, then that may work.

Kmaster, it looks to me like the dgVoodoo screenshot you have posted is simply upscaling the 640x480 image to 1280x960. The zeckensack's one is actually rendering at 1280x960.
BTW, kudos on figuring this out. That's a neat trick.
Question: does the wrapper make the game to run with the 3Dfx graphics engine, or does it still fall back to Direct3D? I ask because the 3Dfx engine was superior in some respects to the Direct3D implementation. For example, the headlight beams gradually fade out in the 3Dfx version, while the appearance in D3D did not and you could see the edges quite sharply (the current Fixall pod has modified litefuzz textures to achieve this effect with in D3D: reference). Also, the 3Dfx engine tended not to error out due to too many objects in the scene or produce the Noah phenomenon due to too many vertices IIRC.

>>You can set it to 1024x768 and it will run. In fact I have to do that to get a decent frame rate!
That's impossible with zeckensack's wrapper, the game will run at 1280x960 or 640x480 if you can't switch to 1280x960.
>>does the wrapper make the game to run with the 3Dfx graphics engine, or does it still fall back to Direct3D?
Not sure about that, we have to do some testing.
