Sleepy Hollow was largely ignored when it came out but its very good, Depp really plays the part and makes the picture better than ho-hum.

Some of the lines are great too:
"To this day the woods is a haunted place where brave men will not venture"

Definately worth the rental.
Still alive and rumored to be somewhere in oregon?

Here's some sneak-preview pics...if it turns out to be on the sci-fi channel only, then I may never see it...

now would be a good time to ask your provider to get the SciFi channel.

They already offer it, but ONLY if one drops their regular cable and signs up for Digital Cable....no thanks.....

rigth now, we have several TVs hooked up......if we switched to digital, then we'd have to get separate decoder boxes for every set.....uh-uh.....not gonna happen.

I am a big Johnny Depp fan ever since Sleepy Hollow, Blow and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
I have heard nothing but good reviews about this movie. I hated it. But thats probably my fault. I had to watch it backwards due to my rookies skills as a projectionist back in the day. Maybe one day i'll watch it again.

This may sound like a lot of work, but grab one of those digital to analog converter things. About $30 for a four output one. Pretty handy little thing. My cable provider is ditching its analog servicec and having all its customers upgrade to digital. If they require seperate boxes and charge for all boxes, then I'm gonna have to use that splitter thingy. I use one now for my tv. It doesn't have a stereo input, so I use it for my dvd player and PS2.

I never read a book that has a movie with it. LOTR being an exception. I know I am prbably missing out, but I love movies too much. Cept ones that have a lot of lovey dovey stuff. I hate it when a movie uses a whole 20 minutes on one sappy scene/subject. I.e. Episode II. When you read a book, and you come to a part where love/emotion is envolved, its ok that its somewhat long because your using your imagination. But in movies....it has no place. Hinted/silent emotion works better in movies.

I have my fingers crossed that the Transformers movie goes through and is successful.

I'm not sure that would help.....the digital channels here go up to the 500's.....SCI FI is on 160........most older TV's don't go higher than 124, same as the analog cable signal (my TV doesn't exceed 124)

I think my fav Depp flick was Edward Scissorhands, mainly for the subtle humor and unique creativity, and because Vincent Price was in it. [;)]

Dang, I didnt think of that when i bought a new 13" TV for the bedroom. Hope my cable dont go digitial. They already switched some stations for new ones. Why is there an all GOLF channel?!?
Sheesh! What's next an all Chess channel?!
Wish my cable had the all Game Show channel would love to watch the Gong Show again.

That movie was amazing... probably my favorite Depp movie as well... I usually love just about every movie Tim Burton directs... good to see he often drags Depp along...

Favorite Tim Burton movie has got to be "Beetlejuice" though... loved that one!!!
