Separate issues: flickering on some models in Orient Express by Malibu, and flickering on overlapping(?) tire tracks.

Something new that might help: on the 5600 xt which runs essentially perfectly, I went to record a clip with the xbox game bar and the hitching made the game unplayable, both with vsync on and off. Something to do with the gpu sharing tasks while running the game?

For the 6650, I'm not sure what might be sharing the gpu when vsync is on, but hopefully it's a lead!

Ah dern, sorry, i messed up. Forgot to give you the correct .dll. Between this and trying to get Dx11 ready I've really been losing my mind. lol

You only need to copy the .dll file, the .exe is the same.

Either the GPU sharing or more likely the operating system not caring about MTM2 and makes it run as a "background" application and thus losing priority for resources.

Originally the game would go exclusive full screen to avoid losing priority (that forces the operating system to give full priority). I had to change that with Dx9 because of how hard it is to get the game to run correctly when it keeps switching between the excel spreadsheet menus and hardware accelerator and why with my comm patch from 8 years ago the game would pretty often crash if anyone touched the F4 button :D

Your link is broken in the post above. Was it the same link as before?

As for recording, maybe give the windows game bar a shot on your side and see if you get similar results. I also tried OBS studio, and it was bad with hardware encoding, but after forcing OBS to use my apu for encoding through settings / display / graphics, it might be good now?

Cancel that. 5600 xt on hdd cannot record smooth game play.

Ok, found game bar on my system (never used it, didn't know I had it). Turned it on to do some recording. There's been zero effect on my system. No fps change, no nothing.

While you're fighting with AMD I am fighting with the AI who is literally refusing to acknowledge what I'm telling it :D lol I've been spending the last 4h telling it what the sympton is and it keeps going around in circles telling me it's something else

Definitely been there chatting with AI. Somehow equally useful and useless at the same time!

Here's the new data: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kLDjYq ... drive_link

Still hitching with vsync on. No improvement.

As for the recording, I guess you ruled out Windows as the culprit since it ran fine on your machine?

PS. I like the moderated dern on the board. Hehe.

It's not Windows on its own. It's is most likely a mix of Windows and AMD and how they interact together. I'm also confused why the words are moderated, I selected not to moderate anything. lol

Strange!

In other news, the 6650 has no problem with xbox game bar recording with vsync off. So, who knows?

Haha. Hilarious :D
I'm really out of options here. Think we just have to take the loss and know that there's at least some combinations that allow you to play the game right. Can just get the hotfix2 so that you stop getting those diagnostic texts spitting out.

Hey Fila, not sure if you are willing cause I am the odd man out but if you update me on the code I will see about the openGL renderer, after the 43 version source I had using my opengl dll I created from the d3d code no longer works, the api must of changed or something. I never went further than the wireframe renderer in 43 cause it crashes no matter what version above that. Just a thought, thanks.

Gonna have to set it up again. Although I'm still working on the API, the problem is I keep changing it.
