Oh, I just realized going through this thread for fixes that the "washed out textures" you experience when playing the Evo conversions were fixed in the hotfixFord-chan wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2026 1:54 am These hotfixes in particular, do I need them right now, or is it more for Cale, RuDeE, and Kmaster at this point?
Community Patch #3

That's what it is.Kmaster wrote: Mon Oct 12, 2026 1:50 pmi guess it could be interpreted as him making money off the code, which is probably prohibited under the NDAFord-chan wrote: Mon Oct 12, 2026 5:59 am Dear lord, had to look this up, Max 20x is literally $200 a month, no wonder things have been slow.
What I don't understand, how does donations towards Claude potentially violate NDA conditions when it's just Claude itself, and not the game source code? This is coming from somebody who isn't behind the scenes with what's going on BTW.
I could set up a donations that says "please pay for my general claude code subscription" and I can say I am just using claude to make my own accounting software but I don't want to risk anything that could bring an end to this. Would be pretty annoyed to have worked 5 months on this and not finish everything I thought about
Re: Community Patch #3
I thought about this. I think the solution is to make something like TreeConversion.pod and then I can hard code in the engine that any model that shows up in treeconversion.pod will not auto-rotate.OG_RuDeE wrote: Mon Oct 26, 2026 5:45 pmI did exactly this for all of Malibu's Evo conversions. See: viewtopic.php?p=59250&hilit=hd+trees#p59250Slayer wrote: Mon Oct 26, 2026 9:57 am Could be a fun side project for someone. A tree replacer. Replace all the common 2D trees in all tracks with 3D trees. Is that possible if something overwrites the tree models in a later mounted pod?
All the trees are facing in those tracks, so the trees rotate. One would have to go through, edit all the .sit files and make the trees non-facing to fix it. I didn't do it at the time since this was just an experiment to see what it would look like.
Re: Community Patch #3
Looks like this was a crash due to a bug that was specific to 4k resolution and it was something I wasn't able to test as I don't have a 4k monitor. Will fix it.Slayer wrote: Thu Oct 08, 2026 7:15 pm Ok, if anyone has trouble like me... here are the steps
1. Start a fresh install. I think my years of hacking it together with nGlide, etc, left my install folder in a terrible state.
2. Windows 11 does not allow you to set the compatiblty on the setup.exe, so rename it to install.exe, set compatibility to windows xp, then rename it back to setup.exe
3. Install it, good luck on buttons. Green ones are mostly accept buttons, or open PDF buttons. Buttons won't show text, so you guess clicking through the installer.
4. Install community patch 3, the base patch and other patches do not seem necessary?
5. It will crash saying invalid resolution. Go to systems -> monster.ini
6. Find
gamePIXX=400
gamePIXY=320
And update to 1920 and 1080. 4k Resolutions do not work, you will get an error when you reload the game.
After this, wow, I am deeply impressed. This looks great, runs great. And did you voice sync army to get more lines? What an amazing upgrade! You have made MTM3 here.
Re: Community Patch #3
Ah yes, just tested it, it definitely works, no more washy washy textures on native MTM1/2 tracks.Fila wrote: Sun Nov 01, 2026 4:26 pm Oh, I just realized going through this thread for fixes that the "washed out textures" you experience when playing the Evo conversions were fixed in the hotfix![]()
