Best original tracks & trucks?

Post by Kmaster »

Hi everyone, As many of you already know I'm working on OpenMTM2, a browser-based remake of the MTM2 engine. Right now it needs a copy of the original game to run. I’d like to make a complete standalone version that anyone can play for free, without the retail files. To do that, everything it ships with has to be free to share. So I’m looking for suggestions:

Tracks made from original content: no stock MTM2 or MTM1 models / textures (and nothing taken from other games).
Fictional trucks: with made-up names and paint jobs, with no real monster truck brands or logos.

Most classic tracks reuse a few stock pieces (checkpoint boxes, rocks, fences, signs). That’s fine, because I can replace those with free versions. I’m also checking each track with a script that flags stock files, so it doesn’t have to be perfect. If you know a track or truck that fits, or you made one yourself, please post it here. Every author will be credited, and I’ll ask permission before including anything. Thanks in advance

So far this is what I have on my list:

Charles River Field uses no stock models/textures. The music would need to be silenced, though. Likewise for Sonic City Speedway.

Thanks.
I was thinking about Sonic City, didn't know that all models were non stock, that's amazing and it is just what I was looking for. What about some of your trucks? I was planning of including in the game your HD 2.1 replacement pack but my AI agent warned me about trademarked truck names and decals

A lot of Cale's trucks that he made over the years consist of the usage of the USHRA (United States Hot Rod Association) logo and branding, an organising body most famous for hosting Monster Truck events all over the United States before the Monster Jam rebranding that we know of today.

Also, Charles River Field has wall banners of the USHRA as well as PENDA and other notable brands within the Monster Truck industry.

I've noticed a lot of the indoor stadium circuits made by people like Yeastman and Team Death also have real world brands as stadium decor too.
