What I don't understand, how does donations towards Claude potentially violate NDA conditions when it's just Claude itself, and not the game source code? This is coming from somebody who isn't behind the scenes with what's going on BTW.
i guess it could be interpreted as him making money off the code, which is probably prohibited under the NDA
Though not technically a violation of NDA. It could be copy right violation.

Because only AI companies are allowed to profit from stolen IPs.

As for the AI is inevitable thing. It is. We were told back in college 25 years ago that this would happen eventually. The companies really f'd are the low code software providers (Snap logic, etc.). Don't need those anymore when you can with a single prompt spin up a microservice in any language you want.

Now we have to survive this transition time. I believe the real dev salaries are going to explode. AI is great at copying, it cannot make something new. So it cannot build the next programming language, the next framework.

Though I kind of want to transition to a position where I use my soft skills instead. Since I know I am one of the few sociable programmers. I just need to figure out how to get there. I am tired of trying to stay in the race. I am old now, my brain is failing, my body is failing really fast. I am hoping to retire in 10 years. Just need to hold out.

Pretty excited about the upcoming features but they are more focused on the track making part. (traxx getting some big updates too as a result)

I've been failing miserably at getting the AI to work right so I needed to start the work early on the other features to feel like I am actually achieving something. lol

I see water where water should never be! Nice!

Does that mean waterfalls too for when water is placed from the top of a cliff to the bottom?

Could be a fun side project for someone. A tree replacer. Replace all the common 2D trees in all tracks with 3D trees. Is that possible if something overwrites the tree models in a later mounted pod?

Not for the immediate next version but probably soon. I've been wanting to redo the water and have two different approaches (that will be behind a toggle for people to chose) but won't be ready for next version.

Yeah the ordering still works as before. With the evo conversions going on, we can probably use those trees as replacement at some point.

O_O Did you just do what I thought you just did?
In that 2nd picture, is that really real water in both one terrain that's lower in height than the other?? :O
I'm the creator of the Army Armstrong voice model on Uberduck.ai. :)
But Uberduck.ai removed all the contributed voices so that site sucks now. :( Will re-upload it soon!

I did exactly this for all of Malibu's Evo conversions. See: viewtopic.php?p=59250&hilit=hd+trees#p59250

All the trees are facing in those tracks, so the trees rotate. One would have to go through, edit all the .sit files and make the trees non-facing to fix it. I didn't do it at the time since this was just an experiment to see what it would look like.
