AI work still ongoing
This is very painful. lol.
On the flip side, I have accidentally created this cool interactive map.

I have saved the tool separately, once this is done with, maybe can find a different use for it.
Re: AI work still ongoing
That looks like a fun toy!
Re: AI work still ongoing
could be a nice addition to track viewer
Re: AI work still ongoing
So upon still working on this, I realized I need to multithread the AI logic or else it will kill fps (as in... literally 20fps). Once I multithreaded my game started crashing. The AI investigated and recommended that I update my motherboard BIOS which I did... and fixed the crash. Apparently I have been running an intel bug in the processor for the past 3 years.... which has the potential of damaging the CPU.

Claude working wonders as it should.
That being said, in regards to the rework of Truck AI, would it be possible to make them fully aware of your presence and distance? So they're not continuously crashing into you with little to no respect whatsoever. The AI trucks right now have the mentality of that recent "bowie knife 99" drivatar in Forza Horizon 6 that's just about made players ragequit.

Re: AI work still ongoing
Yes but that's not going to be ready at beta release. My priority shifted right now to just get it working first, so I can have people use the offline rumbles and fix the multiplayer stuff. Then while people are testing the beta, I will work on improving the AI logic of dodging other trucks and the train too.
Re: AI work still ongoing
There HAS been progress, still way slower than I would have liked but I'm hoping it will get there soon.
Re: AI work still ongoing
I'm thinking of imposing a deadline-ish by the end of October, if I can't get this to work right I'll set it aside temporarily and do the other things that have been brought up. Still going around in circles with the AI, I fix one thing and something else breaks so it's still not useable yet. And for the record, I am still focused on getting them to work on stock/rumbles/mtm1 drags only first for the beta before I venture out into the custom tracks (which will happen while people are beta testing). Sidenote: once the stocks work, a lot of the custom tracks should be working anyway except for those with extreme/creative terrain.
Re: AI work still ongoing
I had to bite the bullet and increase my account to Max 20 because I've been running into the limits too often with this AI work and it's very frustrating not being able to advance as much as I want to. This is partially my fault too. If I am able to get this AI to work right as I am hoping, it's basically going to be a significant advanced AI logic that will surpass even the AAA racing games with millions of dollars as budget.
The extra money that I am paying for the subscription is painful but I'm hoping to clear the AI stuff and then go back down to Max 5.

Re: AI work still ongoing
Ran into the weekly limits again, so I gotta wait. It feels like I might be close to a breakthrough but really not sure. I've had several false dawns on this already. I have been able to cut down on the AI truck errors and was working on making sure it doesn't tank the FPS when I ran out of tokens, so I have not been able to test if it actually works in the real game (it works in the "invisible" test version of the game).
