yes one of the requirements i made for this update was to keep software mode. So the only big changes in this mode is a new renderer called "TerrainRenderer" (since TexturePolyobj had a 8192 per object vertices limit, if my memory serves well) and real time navigation. TriG is still used for camera transformations.

OK, Kmaster?
I only have one important thing to say at the moment, and it's this...

Back in the day people would be able to clone tracks by the .SIT files, right? (yes we know, tracked2 is outdated badly lol)
I still have no luck using that... I for the life of me cannot figure out what I am doing wrong because of the dumb terrain raw file error... =/

Any track maker that wants to make sure they don't start over making tracks again still NEEDS a feature where in a scenario if you don't have the .TXX file anymore (for any reason) and yet you still have it's .POD file(s) on the other hand, you can take the track and clone it so you don't have to start over making the entire track again.

So with that said... friend, can you please take this feature into consideration?
We don't have to keep the old way to clone tracks anymore, hopefully there can be a new better way to do so.
Oh and maybe even a feature for tracks that we could convert MTM1 to MTM2 and even MTM2 to MTM1, even if it's the old and new MTM2 stuff to convert for either, to me it would be nice if it's more flexible on how we wanna do tracks, especially me who may wanna do interesting stuff with any track ideas I may wanna make.

In order to clone a track from the SIT file, you need to extract the entire pod's contents into the Traxx directory. So you need art, data, world, models, etc... Every folder that's in the pod file needs to be in your Traxx folder.

OK, well I just tried that now (also with or without as admin in Traxx 1.6 or the previous latest version), still not working.
Everything I extracted about the pod AND the Traxx program alongside anything it has with it are all in the Traxx folder, which is also located in the MTM2 folder at the moment.

Everything to do with the game and any pods I want to clone from I extracted from are all on the C: drive.
The game is installed on the Desktop\ENTERTAINMENT\GAMES\PC\Monster Truck Madness 2, and the game works very well.
All the tools I am using is working well too, and the folders of the tools are inside the game folder.

I don't understand why this one feature has to plaque me so much, so frustrating. What all could be possibly wrong with that feature?

Cloning sit files works fine for me. Did you make sure to keep the folder structure intact? Inside the Traxx folder you need an art folder and a models folder, etc....

Cloning si2 files also works. I've had to do this with my recent conversions. I start with Kmasters conversion then extract everything into the Traxx folder, clone the sit file and then work on it in Traxx from there.

Hey I finally figured out what was wrong! :O
I always make sure I do select literally everything about the .POD when I extract them using BinEdit normally, and whenever I would try to clone a track in Traxx that it would often fail due to "Can't open terrain RAW file!" because of the terrain... but guess what?

The missing "DATA\[tracknamehere].RAW" is exactly what's wrong!

Looks like BinEdit never bothers to see that the track's .RAW file is inside the .POD file's DATA section... well crap no wonder! :?
And thanks to Kmaster's JSPod, I FOUND the important file for a track from I pod I made I am still working on! I downloaded it, and I was able to clone it!

OK, everyone needs to know this now who needs to clone tracks in Traxx.
If you're gonna clone any MTM track... use JSPod to download literally everything about the pod you loaded (URL or local) because it will contain that track .POD file's DATA folder's .raw file!
Man, that was crazy.

Thanks for helping out RuDeE, you mentioning the conversion stuff he has reminded me to look at more of his stuff and I did exactly what I wanted. :)
