Other notes...

If you have the Shift Up button binded to the A Button on a Xbox Controller, when selecting GO on a Drag race with the controller, in manual transmission, it automatically shifts into 2ND gear even before the race launches.

There's some weird steering reversal bug that I've only ever encountered on the J Drags just before hitting the second jump in the outside part of the course on random occasions, with the Xbox Controller XInput running.

Honorable mention...

The Manual menu with one of the trucks in the background, it's actually Devil's Taxi, which is a monster truck based in my home country, Straya! (And yes, I've seen it in person once!)

Regarding the A button, that seems to happen no matter what you’ve got it bound to. I use it for adjusting the camera and if I use the A button to start a race, the camera is changed when the race starts.

Also, I can share screen shots if needed, but it seems that headlights can cause a bug that scrambles the landscape during replays. Textures wind up in all the wrong places. Might just be the limitations of my system, but it could be worth looking into.

I've had plenty of problems getting the headlights to work so it might very well be that one of those problems has escaped my fixes in replay specifically.

Fila wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2026 4:29 am Good news for the next version, I have completely stripped away the old menu and now loading a race and returning to menu is a proper smoother experience rather than the stupid flashes it was going through (also, it loads faster now).
How much faster are the load times, compared to the currently-available hotfix?

1-2 seconds faster, both for starting a race and returning from a race and no more annoying black screen flashes.

Game now works as 64bit. Now moving on to increasing the limits and adding .png, .tga .smf before I move onto fixing the bugs reported in here.

One interesting issue I've noticed, the first time I run the game after making a new 64bit build, i run into random visual glitches that do not reappear after I restart the game. Haven't been able to track down what it is because it doesn't happen the same thing twice.

Interesting about the visual glitches. Any other performance changes or improvements since moving to 64-bit?

Surprisingly yes. I didn't expect it but I am getting around 10% more fps.

It's going to be even better when I tell you how easy it is to do it now. In BinEdit, all you do is select the faces, click a button and then tell it to render it as glass (it even allows you to play with different settings to increase/decrease strength). So you don't even need to make a new texture for it.

Cops won't like it, but you can even tint the windows now.

P.S. Yeah model looks funky because the cabin isn't built for see through windows so you just see through the cabin like there is nothing there because technically, there is nothing there. It's all Cale's fault :)

Let there be no mistake about it, the in game Binedit Truck Editor-esque customisation idea would be even more insane with whatever tires we decide to throw on.

Q: is the old "tinted window hack" still working?

those trees are looking awesome. are these from evo .smf format? or are these just BINs?
