Traxx HD Patch

Post by Kmaster »

I patched the latest version of Traxx (1.5.12) to add a new resolution: 1920x1080.

you only need to replace the Traxx EXE file and you'll be ready to go. I updated the version number and fixed a few dead links.

Interestingly i didn't notice any performance penalty in my testing.

Download Traxx 1.5.13

I have been working non-stop on the OpenGL port for Traxx. Hopefully a open beta might be coming soon.

I added support for Drag races. MTM1 or MTM2.1, now you can create tracks with "Track type 1", so you can build the pod with the right SIT config directly from Traxx, no modifications needed.

this is Traxx running on OpenGL at 358 FPS(!) on a Windows 11 ARM virtual machine. navigation is very smooth now

Image
I added a few extra display options: a FPS overlay for openGL, BIN model transparency, vsync if you have a very powerful machine and get too much tearing and the possibilty to hide the purple collider boxes if you wish. These cows never have looked that prettier.
Image
And yes, texture dithering, basic antialiasing for all wireframes, dynamic resolution based on window size and smooth navigation. you can see now it looks more like TrackViewGL.

of course, good old software renderer is still there and it also has a few improvements but you will be missing all the fun!

there is still some things left here and there, but i'm currently wrapping all up. I've been pushing my best AI agent to find as many code optimizations opportunities as possible.

still, my target platform is still Windows XP and above. No need to update windows yet

it is looking that good that it makes me want to go back into track making. beta coming soon!
