*Mating* the trees

Post by Fila »

I remember in Evo1 someone united more trees (around 9 or so) and made them as one smf and in game it covered alot more ground and this way the game could have more trees. Can this be made in MTM2 also?

Yes, actually it was done first for mtm2. Open the tree model, use translate to move it to the side, insert the same tree model, use translate to move both a little further aside, insert the same tree again. Do this as many times as you need trees. Center the whole thing and save with a new name. The only trick is that you cannot really use "facing" as a property type because all the trees would spin like a chorus line. But it is a good trick for background effects or to create natural looking fences where you don't want trucks to fall off the side of a hill.

HAHAHAHAHA, i see what you mean. I should do a track using this effect. It kinda freaks me out if you have for example 30 trees.
