Best default track?
Just curious to know what is generally considered the best default MTM1 track. Canyon Adventure is my favorite.

I never realized that about The Heights, but now that ya think of it, it is like Mud Pies, accept for the crushed cars part.Cale wrote:Mud, cars, a huge jump, everything Monster Trucks should be. The Heights seemed to be a spiritual sucessor but needed some crush cars.Kmaster wrote:

Someone actually did convert Mud Pies into MTM2. Think it's called Mud Pies '98 or something like that.

It's cool but the space backdrop throws it off, and it uses the same textures. I'd actually like to try a full conversion and keep the waterfall by the first turn. Hmmm...just texture work really then, maybe I will have to try it...
Actually, a few of the mtm1 tracks could benefit from upgrades like that.Cale wrote: http://mtm2.com/~tracks/tracks.cgi?search=mud+pies+98

That version is a complete fail. The guy just replaced the grandstands and the backdrop. He also messed up the terrain, with unnecessary changes.Cale wrote:http://mtm2.com/~tracks/tracks.cgi?search=mud+pies+98

I loved the drags on my old (now dead) computer. Basically you know how they always DQ themselves? Well it would be just the right frame rate, to call the heli just before they cross the white line. So I would finish the race, run back into their side, and position myself underneath them. The heli would release them and BAM!!!! Ultimate lag shot, every time, usually fired off into oblivion (Into the stands). Once they didn't get DQ'ed from that, they got shot forward while i got shot sideways. Made for an interesting replay.
I used to love playing arizona rally for the same reason, right off start cut infront of everyone, then plow into them and see how many lag shots you could get before you yourself got blown away. Best (worst) physics ever

This is the best thing to do in Arizona.
First, drive into that gap in between those two trains just before the 4th checkpoint. Like so:

Then a lot (sometimes most) of the passing truck won't find enough space to pass between you and the trains, and will crash into the blockage.

And now watch as they come together (and fail).
