MCmountrally

Post by EmceeMart »

The best track at KC's for years. Superb racing line, exciting, fun and excellent use of textures.......... I could go on, but self praise is no recommendation. Image It's a final release now (unlike a few tracks that have appeared in this section, there IS a Beta section for that huh?) Image
I would recommend to anyone who d/l's this track to try hitting DEMO and watch the computer trucks before racing it - the helicopters still work in demo mode if you get stuck) and I might add that the roosterpit view without instrument panel or steering wheel is pretty good IMO.
Let me know what you think people!

Superb terrain, cool custom textures and models = an awesome mountain rally. If you don't got it, get it. If you got it before, get it again Image

Great work EmceeMart, the time you spent on it really paid off. As the pictures show, it's a beauty, and it drives as good as it looks.

Thanks for the checkpoint markers Mal, sorry if I forgot to give you a personal credit for them. Image
The photos: The one on the billboard is my ole lady's greatgrandmother (the kid in the picture that is). The one on the groundboxes at the end is me and my lady.
Thanks for the trackshots WK, and for putting in the link... I always forget that!

It's nice to see how well the combination of this MTMG BBS and my MTM2 DL page seems to be working out.

The "special way" it takes to begin a review seems to be working well as there is no lack of reviews... in fact, more than ever.

I like that anyone can give their 2 cents as well. Though I have every single file ever loaded to vales.com up until 3/13, I plan to DL this track because I like the review, and it's the kind of track I like.

Don't be suprised to see this one on the KC's 10 April Sort ;-}

Well it made the OLD Team sort for 2 weeks in a row. That made me feel very proud, but at the same time humble because I know I can do better. BTW I think I just discovered a way to get your track back at the top of the topic list! Heehee! Image
Thanks for all the positive feedback peeps.

MCmountrally

In a word: splendiferous

I just fixed my picture and dl links up above.

Also, this track is reportedly the scene of the "world's longest MTM2 crash ever" according to the replay at Team SLO's Replay page, titled "SLO_Bro's Crash", the third one up from the bottom of the page. [:P]

Yeah but for some reason, the crash was recorded on a different version of the track. So unfortunatly the replay may not be so good.
But i tell ya. roflmao man did BRO bounced that day hahahahaha

As for the track, yeah this one is a lovely rally. We've been running it for sometime here on SLO and sure will keep runnng it. It been ground for lot of great racing at this end.

LMAO!!!!!

I was reading all this, thinking, " Cool! A brand new track to try".

Then I read KC's post about adding it to his APRIL SORT.

SORT? Is KC doing that again?

Then I noticed the date....2000!!!!! Whoa!

Nice to see this one survived on top all these years...

Wow, I'm surprised to see people still racing this track - there have been far superior tracks released by others in the intervening years (!).

That SLO_Bro replay is a blast!

Yeah so... it's always nice to race the "Oldies But Goldies" you. I am more of a conservative guy, i like the oldies more :) Heck we even got a list that we SLO guys race that involves tracks that we ran at the beginning of ours lives, when we were born... in MTM2 :)

P.S. I ALWAYS wanted to ask this: Are you a Watford fan?

I used to be when I lived in Watford (I lived there for 20 years). I used to attend most of the home matches with my son. I saw them at their best, under the management of Graham Taylor. They reached the FA Cup final and John Barnes was playing for England - ah, those were the days ;)
I still have a look at their web site now and then just to see how they are doing (not so well these days) :(

There's 260 tracks on our various lists. They can all be from last week lol.
One of the big asset of this game is the variety. It's near impossible to know all those tracks out there. Even and old track can become a new one when you just happen to try it. We even run a few good MTM1 tracks...
