Post by b_smith07 »

ok - so im trying to paint a custom truck i downloaded from the internet, but when i try to pull the ACT and RAW files from the program folder i cant find any. All the tutorials i see say that there's a folder called "ART", but there isnt a folder like that on my computer. If you can help i'd appreciate it. thanks

The art folder is usually made when you extract the models and art from the truck pod. There is no models or art or truck files on the hard drive until you extract what you want to work with. For beginners, that's usually from the truck2.pod but if you are attempting to work on a custom that's already made, then you would extract that instead, but the process is exactly the same in both cases. First you extract the files, then you work with them.

If you haven't done the repaint tutorial, then give it a try. It's time well spent.

from my experience with some older programs like Unpod, i needed to make the folders manually before it would work.

That doesn't say much. Any error messages? I'm going to assume it starts but a common problem is that it is off screen. On this page, the fifth question provides a registry cleaner.

That might be the problem. Try it, or tell us more about what's happening.
