Can't change object altitude manually

Post by Mat-Allum »

Hi there. I've been working on an abandoned race track hit by a volcano blast. So far it's been going along quite well - so far, that is, until I ran into this problem.

In all the previous versions of Traxx that I have been using, to change the object's altitude all you had to do was click the arrows OR type in a new value yourself. In 1.5, however, it doesn't let you do this manually - I type in a new altitude and click ok, but the object doesn't move. When I open the properties dialog again, the altitude has snapped back to its original value; what's going on?

What happens when you just use the S-key or the X-key?

Use Shift for fast movement

Use Ctrl+Shift for precision placement.

That works, but the problem is that the object is at this altitude.

4.019531

Because of all those decimal numbers in there, I'm getting tiny gaps between parts in mtm2 even though they're placed perfectly on the x-y scale. I need them to be at

4.000000

Traxx won't let me do it though.

It's a known bug, Maester Slayer had reported it a few months ago. The new Traxx changed the way models are handled, offering much more ease and precision than before, but that little bug slipped in and will surely be squashed during the next code update.

If it becomes necessary you could unpod, edit the .SIT file manually, then re-pod to create the final pod.

yeah, it halted my rumble production, didn't effect my track production much though, i've just gotten lazy in making Canadian Winter, that and i have to relearn how to make custom textures. so the motivation is just kind of gone right now lol
