how does online drag track racing work?

Post by kpayne89 »

I signed up for the U.S.M.J.S that starts in August, but i really dont get how this works really. Do you need a special connection to race people? What happens to the truck when your racing or freestyle run is done? What judges are watching? Someone please tell me so im not confused when its time.

Do you need a special connection to race people?
Not really. If you have a faster connection (cable/dsl) you will be better off. If you have a very slow connection, you may have some trouble.
The HOST will give you an IP number in the laegues chatroom.
example= 123.456.789

When the host tells you the game is Up, Start MTM2,
click the following buttons,
START
MULTIPLAYER
CONNECT
JOIN
INTERNET TCP/IP Connection for Direct Play

a box will pop up, type in the IP number that your host gave you.
Click OK
if you did everything correct the name of the race will appear, click on the name, then click OK. It will take you to the Multiplayer screen will all the other racers.

What happens to the truck when your racing or freestyle run is done?
Just find a place to park the truck out of the way. Most tracks have a Pits area to park in.
What judges are watching
The host will tell the racers who he wants to judge. 3 judges is the
normal. If 3 judges are picked, each judge will score the run from 1-10. Max. points is 30 (unless its a World Finals for the league)

Hope that helps a little. You can also find out more

Thank you very much. It seemed a little confusing reading the rules. it is going to be fun racing in the series.
