Another redo

Post by Rep Fan »

Thanks to BD's modeling skills, and alot of mapping of my own, and some modeling, I'm redoing my Gremlin. This time she's gonna be 1970's retro, instead of the goofy way it was before, and this time, it's half the verts, and twice the looks.

I even made some real authentic Keystone Klassics for it.

Will it come in blue too? A friend had one that'd get a kick out a blue one.

LOL RF... man you kill me. I loved that thing when you first did it and now it's even more excellent. :o)

Now we need a Pacer, badly... something with flames would be good. Or a Pinto?, Vega?... classics

great job!

I got a Pinto if you're up for another conversion... [(-:]

There is just something about obscure vehicles that I just love. I love to make something cool out of the most off the wall things as possible. I'm still looking for a Pacer, and I think I know where one is too, but for now I have plans for a couple more odd-balls.

Stay tuned...

I know where there's a few pinto models, but I haven't seen any pacers or vegas....

Maybe we need A gremlin limo (heh heh).

The Pinto I have is from Evo that Turbo converted over from some other game, only problem is that if I do it, I'm gonna have to call on BD again, cuz Turbo cut a whole in the hood, man I hate that, people just need to learn to leave stuff alone.

But, I do have a Pinto sitting here all zipped up. I looked for a Pacer, didn't find anything. Still looking tho.

Rep Fan wrote:(from his website) I was playing around with my Gremlin last night, and was on a track that had some water in it, and I accidentally missed the jump and landed in water, and all of a sudden, my Gremlin started shaking and smoking, and out of it's rear hatch popped a Blue Gremlin....
So thats how you make your trucks :D
By the way, Good job, its spiffy 8)

There was a movie (comedy) that featured alice cooper in a cameo role and queens bohemian rhapsody was a highlight as far as a soundtrac goes... anyway there was a flamed pacer in that flick I was thinking about above... but for the life of me cannot remember the name of that movie... i'm about to snap. lolol

There's an AMC Javelin at nfscars.com, but no pacers.

More pacers can be found at http://amcpacer.com

I could use a Mustang II too, that is on my list of crappy cars.

Chevette
Pinto
Pacer
LeCar

hee hee hee, LeCar, now THAT's funny, lol

I know where I can get a Yugo too, but its from a 3D site, so it's probably a vert monster. I just made this one cool 70's style, cuz I knew a guy that had Javelin that had Klassics on it, and I thought it was so cool, with all the stripes on it, so I made my Grem-burglur cool, and I think those wheels look great on it.

Fire up the game and race with my Pizza Geek, and all 4 of these, looks so silly, you just have to laugh.

Just keeping the game fun.

Check the NFS4 list at NFSCARS.com

http://www.nfscars.net/brands.php?game=nfs4

They have some Ford Fiesta's and Ford Escorts that should fit the group, and quite a few more brands of vehicles to check out.

---------------------------

By the way, THIS has to be the coolest vehicle I've seen since, ...SINCE....liver and onions! [:P]

Nope, it takes some work to convert them.
NFS4 cars come in VIV files, which is similar to a POD file.

I'm currently trying to convert an NFS3 pacer to NFS4, then import into Zmod to export as a BIN. it's king of funky-looking, so I'm not gonna spend too much time on this conversion attempt. nfs3 models are usually very-low poly.

I did the NFS 3 to 4 conversion OK, but Zmodeler keeps crashing on me when I try anything after importing it, or it creates bad BINS if I export as one. That, and I can't get the textures to appear....hmmmm. I've done this before.....

I'm using version 1.05, so let me try Zmod v1.07 and try again. Get back to you.

Lol, I forgot about the Ford Fiesta, the Chevette just got bumped down a notch.

That'll be cool BD if you can get that Pacer to work, I look forward to building that! lol, I already have tons of ideas going thru my head hee hee hee...

That's why I love this game, we can even make bad cars look great in here...

I have plans for MOB_Warrior's A-100 truck, and his van. There's something about geeky vehicles that I just love to mess with. The dorkier the better. I thought I topped myself when I did the dump trucks. :D

I was surfing the other day, and I ran across this pic, and I just knew I had to make one, the real truck is just so wrong, it has to be done.

How's that for geeky?

It looks great.

And while we're on the topic of geeky, I saw a television commercial a while ago that had a pacer painted up like the starsky and hutch torino. I've looked around the net for pics but came up empty.
