Looking for sound clip...

No one would happen to have a sound clip from like the Monster Jam TV shows or anything of announcers excitedly saying "Sudden Impact" would they?

If not that, is there any way to record the playing of a sound on my computer (like in a game) and save it as a file on the computer? I'd like to get the "Sudden Impact" from the Monster Jam computer game but the files are untouchable...any other way?

If you can get a dvd with monster jam you can rip the audio from it.

To get sound that's playing through your computer, set your audio control to record either stereo mix or wav - which ever yours supports. If one doesn't work, the other should.

You can use windows sound recorder or better yet any software that gives more control... like the stuff that comes with your sound card, or cooledit96, or sound forge, or like that.

There are tools known as rippers that can search inside a program's data files for embedded, known filetypes that can be extracted. For example, a ripper could be pointed at a track pod and easily find and extract WAVs and BMPs. Some data files can't be ripped in this manner, especially if they use some kind of proprietary encoding, but you'd be surprised at what can be extracted from various data files. You might very well be able to extract the audio you desire.

just get a stero RCA to 1/8" adapter and a stereo RCA wire and run it from your VCR to your computer's line in port (yea that one on the sound card you never use) Then open up sound recorder and open the sound volume and make sure you are looking at recording volume. it should say recording at the top of the volume control. Umm you can get it by hitting Options->Properties. in the master volume control. Then select the recording radio button and then check all the volume controls below that. Then hit ok and turn down everything but the line in.
THen you can just record gfrom sound recorder.
If you want to make sure u have it wired correctly do the same stuff with the playback (Master) volume and the line in should come out your speakers.
