A Little Tease

Post by Rep Fan »

[edit] removed pic*
It's just plain stupid looking, but it was a real truck so I'm all for it.
Thanks BD for your help so far, but don't run away, I may still need you. My first multi-axle truck, and possibly my last, but I've wanted to make this truck for years, thanks fo BigDogge for finally figuring out how to make more than 2 axles to work.

You da man

> size limit

common sense and mindful of us 800x600ers.

Nice flame job, by the way.

Check that out!

I'm not a Mopar man, but I made this for SLO_ICDOAN, and that pic above is MY version that I kept for myself, it's on my site, and on this one.

Beat it, it'll take it.

Feeling like spanking my Expo entry...

I'm gonna make this thing totally nuts, but I may need some really good modeler's help. I've tried to make what I need, but it's gonna be too crazy for my experteeze.

Here's the deal, this is gonna get an engine, [building it now] and it's gonna go in the frame's belly area. completely out of the truck's body. But I may need some help with building the headers. I was thinking about putting on headers, then running pipes up to the bottom of the body. Then having them exit with huge trumpets coming out the back windows, or tailgate, or out the roof, or under the rear bumper, kind of a Dr. Suess kinda thing.

Yes, it is high up. It's maxed out, as high as you can make a truck sit and still have it look decent. The shock textures and the axlebars are all that's stopping it where it is. It dwarfs all my other trucks, even the really jacked up customs I've already done.

Does anyone think they can pull off my pipes? I wanna texture them chrome too. Eventually this thing is gonna have like 3 shades of green flames all the way down the sides. I wanted to make something totally off the wall, and just silly. This is what I have so far. I made the cool Suburban thing, now it's time for a 72 Chevy Panel truck.

If anyone has any really crazy ideas, lay em on me. I want this thing to be nutz. I even thought of making a couple of huge turbos, sticking half way out the hood, with chrome tubes running down to the engine, then that exhaust. Still coming up with stuff. Input from anyone welcomed...

Just no wings, capes, guns, etc. suggestions, no dumb looking stuff. I want this to be cool.

I would suggest you check out http://www.madmaxmovies.com, I know they have a car on there with the carbs and velocity stacks placed horizontally, looks awesome. In general, the stuff looks awesome so its worth a look.

Welp, that didn't do much for me. But I'll always love those movies.
Thanks anyway Cale.

Little update, I built my own engine. I thought I'd make one myself for once, it's not that hard now that I did it. The hardest part on it was the belt system. But this is going in the belly.

Weiand blower, dual Demon carbs, ARE oil pan, detailed heads, aluminum pulleys. Only 127 verts, not bad for all it has on it. [;)]
