If you are making custom textures I suggest
http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Co ... torial.htm

If you are just starting with stock textures and what not then phins got the links there. If its custom textures your struggling with read the site, you'll learn alot more than you did before.

I'm still not sure I understand, but...

When I have a mess of new textures to load up and lay down in Traxx I load them into the texture window one by one in alpha/numeric order, which takes some time sometimes. Doing so I know I'll easily be able to lay them down in their original grid order, such as:

1-2-3-4
5-6-7-8
a-b-c-d
e-f-g-h
etc.

Before first laying them on an off-track area I always place myself facing north and down in Traxx, so that the textures on the terrain are oriented the same as they appear the texture box, for my own ease.

Now I could try to talk about making textures in unique groups and aligning those groups at the edges in paint program, which may be what you are talking about, but a few offhand words alone wouldn't be much help, I think. One thing though, I think Slice60 (with Turbo help) is the best texture slicer, as such all of your base textures must be divisible by 60 pixels.

See all of the stuff in the Textures sub-menu under the MTMG menu at http://rhinoseros.com/~mtmg/

Also, there may be help for you in the Traxx >> Textures sub-menu there too.

p.s. thanks dawg ;)
