Yep, that's very handy.

And we'll not lose this trick in the new binedit, which is slated to come out before the next millenium [:P]

It's not really a new "trick" but rather an old tool......I've been using X, Y & Z plus the shift key for the last 3+ years......

..How do you think I make most of my models so fast?.....placing vertices one-by-one?.....no, I only do that in rare cases where it is needed....

I like to make basic shapes, like boxes or cylindrical shapes made in tiremaker, then merge the models and move the vertices around using XYZ to get the proper shape (that's how I make the exhaust header models).....new vertices and faces are then added and positioned where required...

Heh, there was a time when I didn't know a lot of this stuff either. It was only once I started writing a tutorial on BinEdit that I discovered the X, Y and Z keys and countless other essential shortcuts, lol. I'd only been using the darn thing for two years by then... [nyuk]
Made me wonder, there might be other things in this world I don't know about [doh]

So there you go, you don't learn things by reading tutorials, you learn them by trying to write tutorials :P lolol

More clearly, pressing V while a vertix is hi-lighted will "select" or "de-select" it so you can re-position batches or groups of vertices all at once.

To hi-light vertices, press TAB repeatedly to jump from vertix to vertix.

You do similar with faces....press SPACE to jump from face to face (or polygon to polygon). Press F to select faces one by one. Do this to modify or texture-map whole groups of faces (like a hood or wheel-tread).
