Object sound for bamboo bridge?

Post by rocketalces »

I would like to get a noise similar to the one you get on ground texture set to wood when riding over an object.
I suppose this can be done with appropriate "impact sound" but in the descriptions of the selectable sounds, none seems to match.
Is there one, or is there somewhere a wav file I could point to?

Thanks for your help

You could still use the wood sound but you'd have to dig into the sound.pod to figure out which one it is. That said, I don't know how well it will work. Most sound effect textures on bridges use ground boxes. Models might be entirely different, or not. Anyway, what you could try is digging out the wood sound, then browsing to it as if it were just another wav. You'll soon know after that whether or not it'll work the way you want.

Not very well: although I selected the impact sound, once it starts it never stops(?). In addition, the rolling noise is independent of the speed. Should have expected that. What are the KLP files in the sound folder good for?

They are the track music loop files.
