<< Once they are painted on the terrain, and before you write the pod, you'll want to generate a custom track palette with Traxx as Kdawg suggested, so they look their best in-game. >>

It's usually a trade-off...

Creating a custom palette will generally make your "world" look best, but more often ...

How do you change the default checkpoint sounds? I have a hankerin' to start making more races, and that'd be a handy thing to know.

Translucency

How do I get translucent textures on objects such as the wine glasses in Zoon Kitchen 2? Can the technique be used to make realistic windows in trucks?

Great track!

It has all the things I look for in a race; nice scenery, with smooth, realistic hills and a great backdrop. The path is easy to follow without resorting to the overhead map. And most importantly (to me) you aren't necessarily out of the race if you make one mistake. (No call-the ...

Congratulations!

Congratulations, Rocket!

I still have a heckuva time trying to find my way through the knot at the end of the course, and often have to go slow and follow the computer trucks to keep from getting lost. I guess it takes a little longer to figure out for those of us who don't do much racing. GREAT ...

Reinstall Zone Files

Another thing to try:

DELETE your MSN Game Zone files and reinstall them.

1) Look in your Control Panel under "Add/Remove Programs" and uninstall "MSN Game Zone".

2) To be on the safe side, let your GAME direct you to the correct spot in the Zone. Make sure you are online, then start MTM2 and ...

Questions, Answers, Things, and Stuff

First off, let me thank everyone who organized and participated in the Expo. It was great fun, and I’m gonna be playing with all the new tracks and trucks for a long time to come! And I always wear the gift ball cap I received for participating (except when I nearly lost it down the drain the other ...

Ask Skata's brother to let us toggle axis labels on and off in BIN Edit. In the 3 wireframe windows I keep getting my X mixed up with my Y mixed up with my Z. I've got 3M Post-It stickers all over my monitor ;o)

If you're just looking for the MTM1 TRACKS(GAME.POD), I found 'em at:
http://onlinehemi.homestead.com/files/GAME.zip

Mount it into MTM2 like any other track POD file.

It wasn't the color so much as the contrast. Very little difference between the old grey and blue to my eyes.

Dang! I keep trying to grab those bouncing smileys, but they keep eluding me! Maybe if I sit here and stare awhile biding my time they'll lower their guard and I can pounce...

Truck reflections seem to be the culprit. When they are on, the track crashes. When off, the truck works fine.

I went ahead and made an engineless version (with far fewer vertices) that works WITH reflections. I am awaiting my friend's response as to which truck he wants to keep for his personal ...

Roger Wilco?

I tried that a few years back with Diablo, and it didn't work too well. Does it do okay with MTM2? That's one advantage of rumbles... more chance to type messages while you're flying through the air! ;o)

Would the additional program running in the background tax my 56K?

The stock blue works fine for me. I only change it if the model blends in too much.

What's hard to read is the blue text on grey background here at the message boards. I have to sit up close to my monitor to read the topics, when I'd much rather kick my feet up on the desk and enjoy myself ...

Yeah, I think the truck reflections look like someone laminated my vehicle. ;o)

Small problem with that "Enforcer" truck after all. It works fine for me, and it works fine for the guy who requested it. Out of the people who installed it, nearly 50% had problems. I don't know if they saw the truck ...
