Re: Evo to MTM2 Track converter

Side note: as i was testing this, I have discovered a bug in the code and the glass mirror and glass mesh trucks were also rejected by the engine despite the fact that they were supposed to be accepted. So I fixed that part at least and did further tweaks to the trucks (and my fps went up). Though ...

Re: Evo to MTM2 Track converter

I haven't had a chance to check why but if you notice:

1. Trees give no shade
2. most objects don't with the exception of one here and there
3. every single object is refused by the engine. everything you see here is uploaded per frame from the CPU.

Re: Community Patch #3

They already are instanced but I have to check them, if the converter doesn't do it properly, they are not going to be recognized as something that can be instanced and will be thrown out. One thing I noticed is that headlights/breaks/reverse lights can be seen through the trees which might be ...

Re: Traxx 1.6.5

Did a quick update involving the new fancy HD backgrounds. Turns out traxx was not too happy if you imported .png only background. It still saved and wrote the .pod file correct but it gave random errors that would make you think something was wrong.

Re: BinEdit 2.3.1

Did some quick updates. The bin mapper part was crashing for me. Not sure if this was original behaviour or added by me when i increased the texture size (probably a little bit of both, pre existing and i made it worse).

Re: C-POD26

Did an update to make extract a single file more intuitive. Previously if you selected to extract a single file and selected your destination folder, it would create a subfolder to place the file (so if you saved MODELS\EXAMPLE.BIN) it would create that structure. Changed it so that it just saves ...

Re: JSTrackViewer - Online 3D track viewer

How about now RuDeE?

I would love to work more on Traxx, simply to make my life easier too, but right now I'm too knee deep with the engine and the AI Bots work is proving to be significantly slower than I hoped. I've been at it for 5 days now and I'm still nowhere near having a decent model. Have ...

Next patch is going significantly slower than I hoped. The AI work is proving to be tremendously... slow. The good news is rumbles are going to be doable.

Re: HD Backdrops

I did meant to do that but my home network refuses to connect to the website for now so I can't do anything. Lol

Edit: Working right now, got a chance to upload.

HD Backdrops

I initially wanted to just do a .png to replace the backdrop but it won't tile correctly... mostly because of the way the original backdrops are authored. Actually if you do pay close attention, they usually don't tile correctly either. lol

So I figured I will slowly work on these. The first one is ...

Re: Tutorial Video Ideas

Yeah that would work. I would like to do updates but there still quite a few things to add to MTM2 and would rather focus on that. What I was thinking was to add entries to MTMG for traxx/binedit that focus specifically on the new updates since the original work flow is more or less the same. Would ...

Re: New Site is up

I have also increased the font size on the trucks and tracks pages. There's plenty of headroom and increasing the font size didn't alter any of the existing table structures so it's a free win and makes it easier to see.

Rudee loves doing videos so that would be great :D

Re: New Site is up

I'll look into it at some point.

In the meantime I have done an overhaul of the MTMG pages again to make them more readable and add proper universal look between all of them. I really hope this is it for MTMG, it's the 3rd time I am working on these this year and it's a pain in the ass because ...

Re: New Site is up

Well, totally opposite experience for me. And it turns out the MTM2 version is not displaying the wheels anymore either. Will have to look into this. Also the MTM2 version seems to display the mesh window (when looking out the window) but not the door, whereas I can't get the door nor the window to ...

Re: New Site is up

Website has been updated with the new tools, including all of Kmaster's new tools. The overall utilities page has been reorganized just a tad.

The truck viewer has been updated with Kmaster's latest work.

Re: Traxx 1.6.4

Instead of going to bed to get ready for work... I'm doing this. https://mtm2.com/%7Etraxx/downloads/traxx_165.zip

You can now load the masks in your traxx file and have it render to give you an idea what areas you cover. It kinda works inverse to the map, so the darker the shade the higher the ...

Re: Engine Limits and HD Art

Since I don't want to spam the CP3 thread with a million hotfixes, I think this feature will best be added with the next beta patch. I know you want it for CP3 proper but it doesn't help if people have to keep checking for new downloads.

And this gives you more time to come up with a good mask. You ...

Re: C-POD26

It would be great if I could have the time to explain the features that I've added but alas.

One of the things is that it now can pretty much display every model. And more significantly, it can display control bins (you know, the animated models). And it allows you to play the animated model too ...
