====Kodiak Island ST (Small Tire edition), an MTM2 Rally by Malibu350 (loosely based on Yukon evo2)====

=======================================================
This ST editon is exactly the same as the original Kodiak Island except that the texture depth has been adjusted to accomodate the smaller non stock 42" tires...

check out ZOtm_BigDOGGes boneyard for some top quality vehicles with the smaller tires.

This is a short pro level rally, due to it's roughness and sometimes abrupt altitude changes and semi-blind corners inexperienced racers will probably hate it:)... once you find the lines you'll discover brakes are not nessesary and hopefully find it a chalenging and a fun run. the cp's are soft, all you need to do is sweep a portion of them and you'll be fine.

good lap times are around 2:20, my (soso) best so far was 2:10.62, 1500 gears, med tires, soft susp, pro,... the AI trucks do ok with lap times around 2:30 (that's if they manage to dodge all the trees)

The track should run smooth on all systems with graphics set to sparse, set graphics to normal to view the track in its entirety. For best frame rates shut down all unnesesary programs, and when running with two or more oponents I recommend running stock trucks or repainted low vert stock trucks.

sorry about the file size, I did what I could to trim it down but there's only so much I can do before I start having to strip it, in my opinion, "too much".

========================================================

Most of the models are from TRI's (http://www.terminalreality.com) 4x4 Evolution 2, and were converted to bin format, retextured, remapped, resized, reanimated, and a few repaired/rebuilt by me. the ground textures are also from 4x4evo2, 4 identical textures were removed, every model was trimmed of extra verts, unneeded faces and/or remapped in my effort to keep the file size to a minimum and frame rates at a maximum.

=======================================================

As with all my tracks they are made for fun and everything in them is for anyone to use, I have all my previous models, textures, and tracks available at my site, and this tracks components will follow shortly after its release.... @ http://malibu350.com

-=way down here is the BOTTF-TTAT section=-

there are a few somewhat tricky minor short cuts between cp's 2 & 3, 4 & 5, 5 & 6, and 12 & 13.

there are some off track roads to explore if your really really bored.

the few texture mismatches you may run across are not my fault lol

the pier was completley rebuilt from top to bottom and remapped from the stock evo2 version

the cp markers were originaly comprised of 15 models using 15 textures, they are all mapped to one texure now, and I also increased the set number to 20, from 13.

the three buildings by the pier were remapped to just one texure vs 3 the stock models use.

only the blades on the heli are animated to cut down on vert exposure as much as possible.

this project began on 6/23/02, and was completed 7/14/02
