STEP SEVEN - Reducing the overall size.

The current image is 17x17 squares (or 1020x1020 pixels). This is larger than we need (or than can be pasted into Traxx v1.4). The goal here, then, is to cut off the outer 60 pixel perimeter. So, at a zoom out x3, stretch the graphic window so it does not fit tightly around the image. I make it fit to the grid for easy estimation of cursor position and crop size. Using the crop tool, begin off the image in the upper left and bring it downward until you form a 960x960 square (check the status line for precise measurement). Double click the image to crop.




Repeat the above step, but this time begin at the lower right corner and work up until you have a 900x900 square. Double click to crop. The finished template should look like this. Save it.




NOTE. For this procedure to work correctly, measurements must be precise. A one pixel variance will prevent seamlessness.
