MTM2 Quick Launcher
Summary
MTM2 Quick Launcher allows you to host and join MTM2 IP games with a single click. Ordinarily, beginning or joining an IP session involves about six steps as well as either typing, or copying and pasting, text and IP numbers. But using the quick launcher tool, you can have your game up and ready for hosting in the single click of a button. Likewise, joining a game with the launcher is simply a matter of entering an ip address and clicking. Also, the launcher displays both your local and internet IP addresses for quick and easy reference.

Download MTM2Launcher.exe (36k) and save it in your MTM2 folder.
General Information About the Process
MTM2 Quick Launcher uses command line switches to initiate host and join multi-player sessions; therefore, the IP addresses you use must be correct and must be entered with no errors. The internet IP address displayed in the launcher is obtained by querying the cownap server. If for any reason this is unavailable, you must determine your internet IP address some other way.
Troubleshooting
Problem: Game doesn't launch.
Solution: MTM2Launcher.exe must be in the mtm2 folder.
Problem: When joining, the game is slow to open and then launches offline.
Solution: (1) Check that the IP address is correct, or (2) The host's ports are closed.
Problem: I could join my friend's game yesterday but can't today.
Solution: Get a new IP address from your friend. It probably changed.
Problem: Can't get Internet IP address.
Solution: There is internet traffic or a temporary server malfunction. There is no solution. Just wait a few minutes and try again, or find your IP address manually - see below for links.
Problem: Windows Vista says something about permission or registry errors.
Solution: Disable User Account Control (UAC).
