This track uses a combination of stock and custom textures, and is so loaded with models that, thankfully, Fatal Error has made use of the levels setting to help ease the strain on weaker computers. Due to the complexity of the models this track is known to frequently crash with a "too many vertices" error on weaker computer hardware; you may need to adjust your game rendering settings to accommodate this. Run it at sparse if you have any trouble. Among these models are long, slow-moving freightliners, high-speed dayliners, trucks travelling down a highway, helicopters flying overhead, arched bridges (you cannot drive under), and great looking tunnel models (the walls of which you can, unfortunately, drive through). The road leaps over a highway and under a trestle that supports the speeding trains, it travels alongside a railroad used by the freightliners, and is flanked by water and islets the whole way. The scrapyard road textures are interrupted by a beach-like section, where it appears the causeway has been washed away--a very nice touch that is in keeping with the track's theme - the beach plants look great. One quibble, and it's a small one, is that the intersecting highway and railway imply off-road areas, but there are none. Areas to explore are certainly not a requirement on any track; however, it should be considered a courtesy to follow through on off-road roads, even in those nothing areas (if for no other reason that it helps a driver get back without struggling). On the plus side, the course offers enough jumps and dips and leaps to keep you paying attention but few enough to not slow you down. It is a good ride with REALLY competitive computer trucks! Despite the profusion of models in the track, there are no obstructions on the road, so it's clear sailing from start to finish. Straight On looks and drives well, and, if your hardware can hack complex scenery mode, the models lend themselves well to a rugged, industrial oceanside environment. Great visuals, a really good-looking track. The custom models are all excellent, the road is nicely rendered. Maybe this track is not the best for on-line racing but the scenery and models are worth the download alone. Excellent texture and bin work. Good job.
