During my long and illustrious career as an MTM2 truck maker (about 12 months at the time I type this) a few people have asked me to tell them how they can make top-notch trucks for themselves. Everyone, it seems, wants the complete tutorial to end all tutorials that will tell them everything and anything they need to know in one hit.
Well, I am afraid that such a tutorial, by its very nature, does not and cannot exist (or if it does I am unaware of it!) and that (ahem) you will only learn everything and anything by degrees. Trust me, I've been making trucks for over a year now and I'm still learning new things! The first few trucks anyone makes will certainly not be as good as the later ones, if you don't believe me go and have a browse through my MTM2 site!
MDMRE Tutorial
This is the tutorial from MDMRE's site, which describes step-by-step how to repaint an existing MTM2 truck and how to operate the programs. Click here to download it (327 KB). It is in .ZIP format, simply unzip all the files and open TRUCK.HTML. I recommend you read this tutorial and get to learn the MDMRE programs before attempting BINedit (which is the program used to modify the truck body and/or other parts)!
