Game things
MTM2 Update Patch Get this before anything else! Among other things, this patch increases the number of .PODs than can mounted to 99, notifies if an opponent uses a different version of a track in a multiplayer game, and improves force feedback. (908 KB)
MTM2 'Fixall' pod A pod file created by Yeastman that fixes many issues with MTM2, including:
  • Turns water from grey to a normal blue
  • Fixes the hall of mirrors problem with MTM2 and older MTM1 tracks
  • Gets rid of the annoying 'honking' that every moving bin model or light makes, and
  • Fixes a texture conflict between certain add-on tracks. (113 KB)
    • Podini Slick little program that uses a checkbox interface for mounting and unmounting .PODs from the pod.ini file. (318 KB)
    PodMate 2.02 PodMate2 is a program by Oliver Pieper for merging two or more .POD files into one. (95.9 KB)


    Truck Utilities
    Tracked2 The official Track/Truck editor from TRI. It's functions are limited, but it has some invaluable uses nonetheless. (887 KB)
    Track Editor instructions TRI didn't include any kind of documentation with their editor, which seems a little silly, but the editor isn't too hard to figure out. This is an old text file written by Jon Nesbit that explains the track editor side of things. (4.07 KB. To save, right-click and choose "Save As...")
    BINedit V 1.03 BINedit by Oliver Pieper is a program for editing the 3D .BIN models. Very powerful program. Updated to version 1.03 by Richard Borchard III, this version features compatibility with WinNT platforms and numerous minor bug fixes. (693 KB)
    Binnamer Superb command-line utility that will swap the textures of a .BIN file regardless of the size of the model (unlike the MDMRE Texture Replacer, which has a limit of 64KB). Originally written for using with Fly! models, but works with MTM2 .BINs just fine. (2.26 KB)
    FlyRawGui A utility for converting files between the .RAW texture format used in MTM2, Fly! etc., and Windows .BMP. (70.6 KB)
    MDMRE Truck Making Tutorial This tutorial describes how to repaint an existing truck using the MDMRE programs. Download. Unzip. Learn. (326 KB)
    MDMRE File Searcher MDMRE program that searches and lists the files used for a .BIN or .TRK. Writes .LST files, too. Unzip then run setupmtm.exe. (64.7 KB)
    MDMRE BIN Texture Replacer MDMRE program that replaces the textures on a .BIN model file. Unzip then run setupmtm.exe. (61.4 KB)
    MDMRE Palette Master MDMRE program that converts .PAL files to .ACT for use in the game, and .ACT to .PAL for painting. Unzip then run setupmtm.exe. (131 KB)
    MDMRE Utility Support Files All the MDMRE programs require a common set of support files. Unzip then run setupmtm.exe. One time install. (314 KB)
    MTM2 Truck Making Tutorial downloadable This .ZIP file contains a 'clean' version of all the html and other associated files for this website, so you can download it to your desktop for offline viewing. Please note that all downloads (excepting those given in the step-by-step tutorial) have been removed to reduce file size. (about 3 MB)
    WinPod Fantastic MDMRE program that can open .PODs, extract files, make .PODs, and vacuum the house. No, that last one is a lie... (97 KB)
    PodZip PodZip is a program by Larryboy for extracting unnecessary files from .POD files, thus saving HD space. (55.9 KB)
    PodZip.txt Little .TXT file I put together from the tutorial on BEEK's site and a BBS post by Larryboy for reference on using PodZip. (2.58 KB. To save, right-click and choose "Save As...")
