Motor Mayhem in Bathurst: April/May 1999

In 1999, the Motor Mayhem monster truck and motorcycle stunt show (operated by stuntman Steve Butler and his father Vic) was touring Australia with the only four trucks in Australia at the time: Flying Falcon, Wild Thing, Nissan Big 1, and the US-import Taurus. In late April they lobbed into my hometown to perform at the Bathurst showgrounds (much to my immense delight, it must be said).

Most of these photos were taken on the 28th of April 1999, a couple of days before the show on the night of May 1. They held the show after dark under lights, and unfortunately only one of the photos I took during the night came out. Fortunately however, I had gone down a few days earlier and taken these snaps of three of the trucks still on their transports, so it wasn't a total loss.

This is the only photo that came out on the night, showing Nissan Big 1 doing a crab walk.
