These pictures are stills of a video shot by Mark Hurley of the monster truck show held at the Brisbane International Speedway on December 28th. The trucks on show were Thrillmaster and Wild Thing, owned and driven by Steve Butler.

Monster trucks are now being raced in Australia and it's getting faster and more serious, as well as freestyling shows which reportedly includes jumping these trucks up to 12 meters high over shipping containers! Modifications have been made to these trucks to try to reduce weight and improve performance. Thrillmaster still runs on enormous 72-inch tyres but has been lowered to accomodate airbag suspension instead of shocks. Wild Thing has had much of the bodywork cut out or removed to save weight, and now only uses spring leaf suspension with no shocks at all.
