BINedit Keyboard Commands

Here is a complete list of the keyboard commands of BINedit, plus explanations.

General
Numpad + Zoom 3D view in (hold Shift to zoom faster).
Numpad - Zoom 3D view out (hold Shift to zoom faster).
Arrow Keys / Numpad with Num Lock off Rotate 3D view (hold Shift to rotate faster).
I Display information on model (the number of faces, vertices and textures on the model, plus its dimensions), selected vertex (if applicable) and selected face (if applicable).

Vertices
Tab / Shift+Tab Cycle through vertices (forward/backward). The position of the selected vertex is shown in the 3D view by drawing a set of X, Y and Z axes centred on the vertex itself, and in the X, Y and Z wireframe views with a small white and red dot.
X / Shift+X Move selected vertex 10 editor units in positive/negative X direction.
Y / Shift+Y Move selected vertex 10 editor units in positive/negative Y direction.
Z / Shift+Z Move selected vertex 10 editor units in positive/negative Z direction.
V Tag current vertex. Some trasformations can be restricted to tagged vertices only, such as the Translate command. Tagged vertices are shown the the 3D view as large dots.
Ctrl+V Set current vertex coordinates.

Faces
Spacebar / Shift+Spacebar Cycle through faces (forward/backward). The current face is shown tinted pink in the 3D view and outlined in white in the X, Y and Z wireframe views.
Ctrl+X Delete current face.
F Tag (select) current face. Some functions can be carried out on a group of tagged faces, such as Map Face Group to Texture. Tagged faces are shown tinted green in the 3D view and outlined in green in the X, Y and Z wireframe views.
N Cycle through vertices of selected face.
Shift+N Select first vertex of selected face.
T Toggle display of current face's texture. When active, the texture is overlayed in the top left corner of the BINedit window. The outline shows which part of the texture is used for the face. Press N repeatedly to see which vertex corresponds to which point of the shape.
Point and click with the mouse to move the current vertex to new texture coordinates, or use X/Shift+X and Y/Shift+Y.
Shift+T Brings up a window which allows you to select a new texture from the texture pool for the current face.
Ctrl+A Select all faces. The whole model will turn tinted green to show this.

And now, the interactive version...

The image below has been put together to give you an idea of how a standard keyboard (sometimes called a 'QWERTY' keyboard, because of the order of the keys) is "mapped" for BINedit. If you have a JavaScript-enabled browser, you can move your mouse over the keys and see a description of each one's functions, and any other keys it is used with in combination. Only BINedit-specific commands are shown here; other program commands (such as generic Windows-provided commands like Alt+F4 to close a program) are not listed.
