The aim is to build a complete website for the BINedit program written by Oliver Pieper. BINedit is a program designed for editing the three-dimensional .BIN models used in some Microsoft and Terminal Reality Inc. games. With this program, users can create their own custom game avatars, and props for custom worlds in these games.
At the time of writing, the BINedit program has been poorly documented in the past and deserves a proper website resource devoted to it. The documentation coming with it is rather meagre and out of date, and really fails to do this powerful modelling program justice. This website will endeavour to change all that by providing a comprehensive resource for the BINedit program. It will contain download links and installation instructions for the program, an overview of what the program does and the games it can be used with, tutorials for basic and advanced use and functions, and links for further reference and resource sites.
This site was written entirely using Windows NotePad and, later, EditPad Lite. It uses HTML, images in .JPG and .GIF format, frames, tables, and some JavaScript for optional image effects.
David Carr (known as "Drive2Survive") has been involved in editing for MTM2 since early 1999. In that time he has released over 40 custom MTM2 trucks, ranging from replicas of real-life monster trucks to zany fantasy creations from beyond the horizon of his imagination. His ability as a truck builder is highly rated, although lack of time means that he rarely has the chance to build MTM2 vehicles anymore. His trucks can be downloaded from his website, Drive2Survive's MTM2 Custom Workshop. He has also authoured The MTM2 Truck Making Tutorial, another site that endeavours to teach the art of making addon trucks for MTM2.
David lives in Bathurst, Australia. He enjoys making models (both plastic kits and virtual), driving games, swimming and body boarding in surf (on the rare occasions that he can make the trip to a beach) and confusing his American and Canadian friends with Aussie lingo. He currently attends Charles Sturt University as a student in the new four-year Bachelor of Computer Science (Games Technology) course.
This website is the product of one of his assignments. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or just want to say "hi!", you can email him at d2smtm2@email.com
