I have Windows 8.1 Pro. I have a PS3 controller hooked up using SCPDriver. Windows believes it's a Xbox 360 controller. That's good. It works in all of my games. When I set it to Joystick or Gamepad on MTM2, the left analog stick is used for steering AND throttle. Has anybody reassigned Acceleration to a button? Preferably R2 or X? I'm trying to figure out a solution, but I got nothing so far.

I doubt anyone will be able to help you with this. I don't know anyone that uses a console controller for it.

The only help that I've got, which isn't really help, is that I know the advanced steering wheels that have acceleration and brakes on different axis need to have the option "report pedals as combined" and trick the game into thinking they are on the same axis otherwise it won't work.

You need to have some form of profile software to assign axes to your controller. I use a Logitech gamepad and have a profile for CPR that also works with MTM2.

A quick Google search found this, it might help: http://pinnaclegameprofiler.com/

Thanks, I'll look into it!

Thought I bump up this thread by saying that Pinnacle Game Profiler is no longer active, as the download for it is dead. Fortunately there is a another program called AntiMicro which is basically the same as Pinnacle Game Profiler, only it's still downloadable, it's perfectly safe, and on top of that it works, you can still map your keys to your controller with it.

https://github.com/AntiMicro/antimicro/ ... s/tag/2.23

I'm currently using an Xbox One Controller with a wireless receiver, MTM2 has started to become boring playing with a keyboard for me (like playing with a Fisher-Price toy) therefore I've decided to take things up a notch with a controller.

Never seen this thread before.

First, PlayStation controllers use directinput so they'll just work. Don't use the x360 wrapper.
X360 controllers should just work, no need for wrappers.
If your controller is really weird, add mtm2 as a non steam game and use steam to manage it instead.
