I was wondering what the 3 best Tracks ever (in your opinion) are?

They would have to follow these principles:

1. Playability ( how exciting they are to race on).

2. Bug Free ( no floating objects/Computer Trucks getting stuck/bad textures etc).

3. The WOW factor ( how pleasing is the track to the eye).

4. innovative features ( Buildings/ landscape/ other unusual additions/ attention to detail).

My favorite 3, based on this formula are:

1. Rachels Park.
2. Castle Rock Too.
3. Orient Express.

Deja Vu
Rachel's Park
Top Speed Track

Deja for its layout, speed, and un-clutteredness... is that a word?
Rachel's for its pure beauty, and speed.
TST for the mix of both.

Honerable mention...
Anything made by Phineus, Malibu350, Finne, Gizmo, Zoon, Psycho, Nrrivas, Alpine, Badger, GK Castle, etc... you cant go wrong.

Found "Wilderness" and "Top Speed Track" so I will try them out. Thanks for the heads up!
Can't find "Deja Vu" or "Yestmans races" (is that the authors name or the track name?).

Castle Nugget
Zoon Coaster 2
Yeastman's Supercrosses (pick one)
Honorable Mentions: LaPaWop, Popcorn

Castle Nugget has a level of detail that is just astounding. It's so envelopping in it's atmosphere that you can hardly believe it's an MTM2 track...especially since its in such an urban setting.

The entire Zoon catalog is golden, but Coaster 2 is simply the most fun I've ever had in the game. So fast and so difficult to perfect, but if you can do it, you're gonna have a mile wide grin.

And nobody does stadium races better than Yeastman. They're all classics, and if you hit up the following thread, you can grab them all: http://forum.mtm2.com/viewtopic.php?t=4696

The honorable mentions go to another Rocketacles track in LaPaWop, which would be a winner if he didn't have that !^@&# slalom section in it, and Sir James' Popcorn, which just needs to be played and seen to be understood.

Yeah sorry about that, some authors like to use a different name for every track... but once you get thier style down, you know who made the track, no matter what name they put down as an author...

Any questions, just post or PM me here at the board, I can tell you who is who.

they think they're so smart... [(-:]

Finne made some great tracks, eg. Top Speed Track. There's also Pfulligen or Pfulligen2, those 2 tracks are fun and challenging.

My faves...

Hetfield Fairgrounds (cars are really realistic to drive over, plus the crowd goes wild everytime you hit something)
Paris to Dakar Rally (actually two tracks in one)
And any of Yestman's supercross tracks...!

I love discussions of this kind because I love talking about tracks. At the same time, to limit myself to just three is impossible; there are soooooooooo many awesome tracks out there!

At any rate, allow me to throw a few names/authors at ya that haven't been mentioned:

Alpine's Crazy - Alpine
Wake Up! - Winterkill
Extreme Luge - DavDemBlues
SLO_Worlds - SLO_HotShoe/SLO_Fila
Castellar Mountains - ObeOne
Jumping Screwballs - Finne
The Grade - OLD_Hotshoe
Lakebed Extreme - Valvejob (this one's not for sissys lol)
Preacher's Mines - SLO_Preacher
Superbowll II - ONaN
Y2K Supercross - NKAc_duuks
Moparz Mayhem 1 - SRT_Moparz
Valley of Kings - Guitar Bill (another tough one, but it's simply awesome)
Crosswinds - Psyco (simple layout, but the racing is phenomenal)
Spazmania - Spazmonstr
Paper Run - mike204

Mind you, this is just a small sampling of my favorites, but see what ya think. Some of them you'll hate, some you'll love. If you're still playing this game in 3 years, you'll find that some of the tracks you used to hate are actually incredibly good lol. At least that's how it was for me. ;)

Lastly, some of the tracks listed in this thread have replays made by SLO_Jumper and a few others to help you figure out the best way to approch learning the race line of a particular track. Check out Team SLO's Hall of Fame
