I want to make a truck from the stock Bigfoot chassis, but I only want a different body. Can someone give me a tutorial on how to replace a body?
Many thanks! :D

Thanks! Meanwhile, I tried to pod a new truck I made but it doesn't show up in the game. What's happening?

If you do that tutorial from beginning to end you will see how these files all work together. Then if you're still having a problem you call tell us exactly where the problem happens, what you were doing when it happened, and what you did to try to solve it. But I'm afraid just saying a truck doesn't show up in the game doesn't give much to go on. It could be any of dozens of reasons.

What I mean by "It doesn't show up in the game" is it doesn't show up in the truck menu. The name of my truck isn't even in the menu!

Does your truck pod, TRK file have less than 8 letters in its name?

That's what causes that, and leave out the goofy symbols, just use straight letters or numbers, but the name can't be more than 8 characters long.

good:
kevtrk1.trk
sissy.trk
o2n3o24.trk

bad:
this nice truck.trk [dont use spaces]
bigfoot.trk [don't use common names, make sure all files you create have unique names]
longtruckname.trk [dont use more than 8 char before the . (called 8.3 format)]

You still didn't tell us what you were doing when you made the truck.

What I was doing... all I really did was edit the .TRK file, and put the necessary .bin, .act, and .raw files into the pod.

How? If anything is missing, it won't work.

Using C-POD, which does'nt help at all. Is there anyone who can sort it out? Like if I send them all the files?

I've used cpod probably hundreds of times and it's never made a bad truck yet.

You should really follow that tutorial from beginning to end. It's not hard and since you already have the files the way you want them, it shouldn't take very long at all.

It works! There was nothing wrong with the way I podded it... let me bore you for a while. My computers kind of strange, you see, and something works on one person's desktop and on someone else's it doesn't. On my desktop, C-Pod came up with these strange errors (error source: C-Pod. Operation aborted, etc.) on my desktop, but I tried it on my Mom's desktop and it worked!

Thanks for helping me through this, Phineus! [cheers]

Yeah... so far, I have trucks planned. They are:
Firestone Wilderness
Wildfoot
Madusa 2
And any other F-150 based trucks!
