If you want to chat with people in-game dont use the CB; it's useless. No one uses it and everyone is bothered when u even touch the R buttons by accident. If you want to talk online get a headset with a noise cancelling microphone and some software designed for online game chatting such as roger-wilco. It will run behind mtm2 and let you have better conversations with your team-mates in CnR or your drag opponents and spectators.

It can be done with a cheap walmart mic; and that's how i'd probably do it but if u are serious about it then you need good equipment.

I dont know if Roger Wilco is still the best software out there but i know my friends used to use it with good success a few years ago.

From the <a href="http://teamslo.net/utils.htm">SLO utility page</a>

Roger Wilco

Sidewinder Game Voice

Team Speak

I believe the people you're talking to have to have the program too.

Teamspeak is pretty much the standard nowadays. The voice quality is far superior to Roger Wilco. As for "buying all that stuff", all you really need is a microphone. Your speakers will allow you to hear voice. However, a headset with a boom mic is highly recommended. The vary in price from very inexpensive ($12.00) to rather pricey ($75 and up).

Quite a few of us on SLO use a headset with a boom mic to chat during racing, rumbling, CNR, and RnR - it's great, and extremely handy. Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there - the choice is yours. :)
