I found MTM2 on an abandonware site called Classis Gaming Archive. There are some games on the site that have been taken down and repalced with links to buy the game if they find them . The whole game is only 47.5 MB . Here is the link .

I wonder how they got the full version down to 47 megs? Being on dial-up, I'm not goingto try and find out at this time.

Yay! Cownap and Vales are mentioned on the MTM2 page...

I was going to download it with my DSL to see what they did but they wanted me to register first. I wasn't that curious.

That was my view. And since learning how to patch the demo, it kind of takes away any real need. Still, it's there for anybody who wants to try.... until the site gets shut down, eh?

The forced registration just to rate the game was a little disappointing. But, on the plus side at least they're not trying to nickel and dime the download and posted a link to here so potential newcomers can take full advantage of the games addons for free.

i d/l'd just to see what was up. and mine was buggin out on me anyhow.
seems that everything is there. main menu, menu music & sounds, options, race sounds&music. even does the screen jitter on XP when u shut down the game.
seems that its a repack from an original install. there was a profile already in the game.

I know this is kind of an old thread but I figured, why not keep it current? I wish I'd known about this before I spent my ten dollars for mtm2. I see they've also got Midtown Madness - awesome, I'll take it, maybe someday they'll have Midtown Madness 2. They even have MTM1.

On the other hand, I recently downloaded the demo of MM and it took a devasdating three hours, which extended into the night.

I got it for about £25 off Amazon in 1999. I remember being obsessed in those early days, just as I was with MTM 1 a few years earlier.
