I Know MTM2 is really a monster truck game hence the name but I do love to go for a spin in an small tires supercar!! (I'm sure some of you will agree) I had difficulty in finding any really nice accurate looking supercars and I was very surprised to find that there wasn't a bugatti veyron (don't know why but just expected there to be one)

So I've just started work on making the first MTM2 veyron. Its very tricky and it's gonna take a while,(doesn't help that it's only my 2nd scratch build) but I hope to be able to share it with you guys some day in the not too distant future!!

Any ideas are more than welcome

(Especially help on creating a chrome like texture as the veyron is very chromey!!!)

I don't even know what a bugatti is so I look forward to seeing how this turns out.

Its the most powerful, fastest, and expensive production car on the planet.

How would you define the most amazing production car in the world? Would it be:

* The car with the most horsepower?
* The car with the fastest top speed and acceleration?
* The most expensive car?

At the moment, the Bugatti Veyron appears to have it all:

* A W-16 engine that can produce 1,001 horsepower
* A top speed of 250+ mph (400+ kph)
* A zero-to-60 time of three seconds
* A zero-to-180 time of 14 seconds
* A price tag somewhere in the $1.2 million range.

It also looks pretty cool.

How much gas is that?
at least 80 gallons per hour, or 1.33 gallons (5 liters) per minute.

Oh, an economy car, eh?

Sounds pretty ambitious ben, best of luck :)

If you want ideas for 'painting' chrome in textures, the simplest way would be just to do those areas a very light grey (like Woody's pic shows the chrome areas as pretty much white). Personally, I've generally gone with a light-to-dark blended grey texture, see here (not the best example, all that's of interest here is the rollbar, mirrors and exhaust pipes). I feel it's the best compromise as it adds a little bit of definition and keeps the appearance of the metal parts neutral. The drawback with either of these is that it doesn't really emulate the reflective properties.

If you're game however, Cobalt did a pretty clever chrome reflection effect on the wheels of Cowabunga
here.
It looks pretty realistic but would probably be quite hard to achieve, and of course it won't always match the terrain your're driving on.

Garret Lockhart also tried a similar effect with his Young Gun rep
here.

Hey, it just occurred to me, if you're using Windows XP you could check out the Silver visual style (open Display Properties -> Appearance tab and from the Colour scheme drop-down box pick Silver). You might get some ideas from the colours and blending used there.

I've made many rollbars and various items that are chrome, feel free to use any of my textures to make your own, it takes alot of mapping, but the end result will be to your liking.

I have finished building the model now and am starting to texture it. I have managed to get it working in the game but need some wheels, is there someone who could make them for me??
(because whenever i make my own they look awful and I can't find any like the ones in the picture [uhoh] )

Well I've now made my own wheels and although they're not quite what i'm after they'll do.

Oh and I have used the silver from xp its pretty basic but it does the job. Thanks for the sugestion.
