Hey everyone, after a long 10 years of not being around, i decided to come back and enjoy some of the old fun I used to have playing and making tracks. I don't know if I'll make another track but I'm here for now. After spending a whole day (and not eating) fixing up the storm to release it for mtm2, I decided to work on it even more (can you see i'm once again going mtm mad). I'm a bit rusty and asked phineus to delete it from the server, so that I could work on it more. I want to know if anyone would like to beta test the version I have now?

If you do I'd really appreciate the feedback of what you like/dislike about this one verses the storm 1, what doesn't work right and what I could possibly change to make it more enjoyable/raceable....
For anyone that has experience with the storm 1 and noticed the computer trucks could never finish the course (despite rooski's exellent job), I was able to--after saving and racing the track at least 60 times over 6 hours--get them to finish *sometimes* hehehe And what a difference traxx makes in doing the course work! Regardless, WOW how dumb those AI trucks are right? well...at least on my track anyways....or wait....maybe it's just my incompitance, lol. Well I guess I'll post the link in a minute after I upload. Cya

Not too much different from the original but the new one seems to run better. The second part of crashing through the glass onto lower level roof tops works well on the new version. It didn't work correctly on the old version causing me to crash and miss the buildings. The first ramp jump onto the building top before crashing through the first glass window is awkward and unexpected on the new one. After playing both storms made me realize that updating the graphics to MTM2 style would be a great undertaking. Would it be possible to add the actual Metallica song, no big deal either way. Definitely a keeper, great track! It is easy to tell that numerous amounts of time went into it, an influential piece. I enjoyed it immensely.

LOL I just finished mentioning the Storm in the general forum and I get to this section and here you are updating.

I must check this out, oh we all did have such a blast on the Storm when it was run in a tourney back in early 2005 for the Nostalgia Championship Month.

Yes...I would love to do that but I dunno....don't encourage my insanity!!!
hmm does traxx do texture "replacement" like trackED did?
on second thought..don't answer that! next thing you know they'll have to hook me up to an I.V. while I sit there and make new textures....

I think that would be cool but it would cause a huge download size for the .pod...

Thank you, i'm glad you liked it cause I might has as well have been dead during the time when I made it....I don't think my family even recognized me during those days, up all hours of the night, not doing my homework and staring at a stupid computer screen with my toung on the floor and foaming at the mouth. Really though, thnx. [nyuk]

Hi princess, guess what? if you hadn't run that tourney back in 2005, then I doubt I would have even updated this...I saw your website while searching around for my track, heck i just wanted to play it, and then I saw that less than 3 years ago people were racing the Storm--A track that I never even stuck around to see if people were going to enjoy--and in a tournement nonetheless lol

when I played it in mtm2 and was reminded of all the glitches it had I decided I had to update it, and I wasn't going to do it if people didn't want to use it. I'm doing this thanks to you :) congrads on you making me lose my sanity again lol

Yes, traxx can do replacements. In the texture box select the texture you want in there, then right click the one in the terrain you want to get rid of... and click "replace" (go figure, eh?).

And for what it's worth, you don't need an IV - injections at regular intervals are sufficient.
