Edit: Just changed the title.

:)

(no models yet really and terrain near road needs working as well as fine tuning the corners to make Phin crash his truck)

Hmmm, sorry for this. The beta is delayed by a week or two (was expecting it to be done the coming week) because i currently have a serious cold that doesn't allow me to stay at the PC for very long and i don't feel up to doing any work.

Edit: Check near the end for the newest beta.

Ok so here it is, had free time and worked on it.

A few things to note:

1. There are two cases of severe texture misalignment. I tried covering the places with objects however they impede with the racing line way to much and it is a hard track already. (suggestions)

2. The "rocks" in the snowy area should be white :D (eventually they will be covered with snow)

3. In the area where the cranes are. I want to make that look like a digging site but i'm a bit clueless as far as textures go and everything (back in the days i had all the tracks memorized and their textures and models).

4. When you see the SLOW sign there are two things you have to make (just a tip for beta testers):
a. Brake and make the turn
b. under NO circumstances should you accelerate. You will see why :) With practice the turn can be taken faster but at start DO NOT accelerate.

5. Breaking is required in this track ;)

Can't think of anything else, so please test it and come up with whatever suggestions.

Oh, the track is hard. Sorry :(

There are two cases of severe texture misalignment....

Didn't see them.

In the area where the cranes are. I want to make that look like a digging site...

It's a good start.

When you see the SLOW sign ....

Okay.

Breaking is required in this track ...

Okay.

It's a good start Fila. You might want to triple check the texture type settings.

Complaints? You want complaints? Sure, I've got plenty of those. No jumps before corners, please. Get the rocks off the road, thanks. The course and layout are good, and tight turns are okay - challenging - but still have to fix the texture types and the snow is too deep. Oh, that jump near the end, might want to work in a recovery route. In a tourney, missing that would put you out of the race, so having a way back to the road can be helpful.

My only complaint was when I fell in the water under the 45º jump spot and couldn't get out. I only made that mistake once btw :). Other than that it looks and drives real good.

Hmmm yeah. I had to pull the terrain excessively so that it wouldn't conflict visually with the ground boxes. Think i'll just put in invisible wall under the water so that trucks don't get stuck.

Then what are you asking for? If you want, hold on until Winterkill stops by... he's our resident expert on all things winter.

I sometimes wonder if snow even belongs in a track.

People complained about the outside banked corner in Mariposa, and so very few people like to drive it. And now you have the same thing, tho perhaps not as extreme, between cp4 and cp5.

Your texture types are not consistent. So, okay, you want them that way. However, I request you change this FRGSN000.RAW from grass to dirt please.

Your races bitmap is suitable for a rumble, you ruffian you.

Told ya.
